Britney Spears Unimpressed By Ariana Grande's Impression

Ariana Grande Slammed By Britney Spears For Imitation, ‘I’ve Heard Better’

Ariana Grande may be well-known for her spot on impressions of some of the world’s most famous popstars, but there’s one who’s making it known that she’s not exactly thrilled with Grande’s recent rendition.

Ariana hilariously mimicked a slew of female artists during an appearance on Saturday Night Live earlier this year, but it turns out one of those stars wasn’t left so impressed.

According to Hollywood Life, Britney Spears is now making it known that she wasn’t blown away by Ariana’s impression of her 1999 megahit “…Baby One More Time,” and she’s now revealing exactly how she feels.

The site reported that Spears got seriously candid when asked about Grande’s Saturday Night Live impression of her during a recent interview with Britain’s KISS FM radio, where Britney pretty much put Ariana on serious blast.

According to the site, Spears was asked if she felt Ariana “did her justice” with her impression, to which Spears hit back, “I’ve heard better.”

While it sounded like Britney could have been throwing some serious shade Grande’s way, Spears did then admit that she found the “Side To Side” singer’s impression to be pretty “funny,” despite being unimpressed with the singer’s impression efforts.

“That’s funny,” Britney told the radio host of Grande’s “…Baby One More Time” impression. “That’s really funny, wow.”

Ariana’s fans were quick to hit back at Spears’s comments on social media, blasting the “Make Me…” singer for her unimpressed reaction.

“Lol that’s funny [because] Ariana singing like Britney is still better than Britney singing live,” Grande fan @godsandchaos claimed, while @TrentBrock tweeted out in reply, “I thought @ArianaGrande nailed it.”

Ariana Grande did the impression in question back in March during a sketch for Saturday Night Live, in which she showed off her pretty impressive skills by impersonating a number of big name female pop superstars including Britney, Celine Dion, Rihanna and Whitney Houston while pretending to work at Jay Z’s streaming service Tidal.

Grande hilariously waded through a range of impressions of some of the world’s biggest popstars on the show, performing Rihanna’s “Work” and even Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” during the pretty hilarious Tidal sketch.

But while Britney is making it known that she wasn’t exactly impressed with Grande’s skills of impersonation, that wasn’t the case for Celine Dion.

Ariana has previously spoken out about how Dion reacted to her spot on impressions of her, which also spilled over onto The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and claimed that Celine was so impressed with her rendition that she joked that it made her “pee” herself.

Entertainment Tonight reported that Grande made the pretty surprising admission during an appearance on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show back in March, where Ariana recalled Dion’s pretty hilarious reaction.

“When I met Celine, she was like, ‘When I saw you, I peed,'” Ariana recalled of how Celine reacted to her impression, adding that the “My Heart Will Go On” singer found her performance to be “so funny.”

Grande then went on to discuss her well-received appearance on Saturday Night Live during the radio interview, revealing that she had “so much fun” on the iconic long running weekend sketch show.

“I had the most fun of my entire life,” Grande admitted of her big gig hosting the NBC show earlier this year. “It was one of the most exhausting and overwhelming weeks of my life, but every single moment was so much fun. I had the best time.”
