Brad Pitt Upset That Angelina Jolie Took Kids To War Zones, Tackles ‘Bad Dad’ Abuse Claims

Prior to the bombshell announcement that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were divorcing, rumors swirled that the two believed in their family so much that they were planning to adopt a seventh child. One of their friends even revealed their plan to adopt an older child who would unite and blend in with their rapidly growing family of six, according to In Touch.

“They feel that by adopting a child who is 10 or older, he or she will mix in better with their rambunctious kids, who are getting bigger by the day,” added the friend about the golden couple’s gang, including Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.

Since that adoption report, however, the divorce bombshell has been accompanied by claims that Brad is a “bad dad,” along with allegations of abuse that have tarnished images of the perfect blended family.

Pitt is now fighting back against that “bad dad” label and those claims, according to sources cited by OK! Magazine.

“He was never physically abusive to her or the kids,” emphasized one of the sources. “Brad is denying claims of inappropriate behavior.”

The “bad dad” rumors escalated when some reports alleged that Pitt had been intoxicated on a private plane and became physical with some of his children, according to OK!, which also quoted an insider clarifying those abuse allegations.

“He did yell at one of their children on the plane during an argument, but he didn’t hit the child. Angelina is putting out [the abuse] story to take the kids away.”

Moreover, Brad allegedly contends that Jolie has endangered their kids in two ways: First, by turning the divorce into paparazzi heaven by publicizing the split and allegations, and second, by previously insisting on taking them to what he viewed as dangerous war zones.

TMZ cited sources who said Pitt is furious that Angelina allegedly made up stories that he is a threat to their children due to “anger issues fueled by weed and alcohol.” Brad reportedly feels that her way of handling the situation has turned the family into a paparazzi target, with the actor allegedly summing up what he feels Jolie has done to his youngsters.

“She’s just unleashed hell.”

In addition, Pitt asked Angelina to change her tactics so that they could manage the divorce “like adults” and keep it low-key, noted the sources. Instead, she has gone “scorched earth” through her allegations that he’s a bad dad, according to TMZ’s insiders. All of this has left him angry at his estranged wife and worried about their children.

Sources also told TMZ that Brad and Jolie increasingly argued over her insistence on taking the children to countries ravaged by war, such as Lebanon and Iraq. Although she took a security team on those trips, Pitt remained concerned.

Their relationship reportedly became even tenser when the couple battled over taking their kids to Syria in an effort to assist the nation torn by war. Although the insiders emphasized that Brad has been supportive of Angelina’s charity efforts, her decision to travel with the children repeatedly caused arguments for the past few years.

Although Pitt’s side has been reportedly attempting to counter the abuse claims, the FBI has been investigating the situation, according to Time.

The allegations of child abuse were referred to the FBI. As for why that agency is involved, the incident allegedly took place during a flight from France to Los Angeles.

A source told People that Pitt is facing accusations that he became verbally abusive and physical with one of his youngsters. The other children were there at the time. In addition to the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, the FBI continues to be involved, according to the source.

The Department of Children and Family Services “investigation is absolutely ongoing,” added the insider.

“Brad has been interviewed and is cooperating fully. The case remains open.”

A Pitt insider told People that he denies that any child abuse occurred.

“He takes the matter very seriously,” emphasized the source. “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”

When Jolie filed for divorce from Brad, she cited irreconcilable differences and requested sole physical custody of their offspring. The two were together for 12 years and married for two years.
