Father Was Recorded Attempting To Drown Stepdaughter, CCTV Provides Proof To Sentence Him For 100 Years [Video]

A South American man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison after CCTV footage showed him repeatedly tossing his stepdaughter into a pool in an attempt to drown her. Individuals in the vicinity chose to simply leave the area, rather than step in to assist the young girl.

The CCTV footage was recorded in Morelia, which is located in the south-western Mexican state of Michoacan. The incident happened in 2015, according to Metro, but the video just surfaced recently. The man, Jose David N, knew his stepdaughter could not swim, yet repeatedly tossed her in the pool as though it is completely normal. When he found out she drowned, he seemed to be surprised that she was dead.

Jose denied any wrong doing in the case, pleading innocent to any crimes as he revealed he was just playing with his stepdaughter at the pool. Once the footage was released, the proof needed to convict him was enough to ensure he received 100 years in prison.

He does not have the possibility of parole, according to Fox News.

In addition to tossing the young girl into the water, Jose is also recorded holding her head underwater.

Trusting her stepfather, the young girl did not fight back much at all. She did reach for him to pull her out, but went back to him each time, seemingly feeling safe in his arms, only to be tossed into the pool again as he waited for her to die.

The disgusting video shows that Jose had no remorse for the life of his stepdaughter, nor did he care that others in the area were witness to what he was doing. A couple in the pool chose to simply get out, rather than intervene and possibly save the young girl’s life.

The video below may be unnerving to some viewers. Discretion is advised.

Judge Ana Lilia Garcia Cardona looked over the case and was appalled by Jose’s actions. At one point during the sentencing, she berated Jose for holding the child’s hair as he pushed her toward the bottom of the pool, holding her under water.

The young girl’s mother was asleep in the hotel room while the stepfather drowned the young girl. She had no idea that her daughter’s life was in danger at the hands of the man she loved.

Jose’s defense lawyers attempted to argue that the little girl did not die in the pool, but instead away from the pool and that there was no way to tie her actual cause of death to him. The judges in the case were Juan Salvador Alonso Mejia, Ana Lilia Garcia Cardona, and Noe Reyes Millan. None of them bought the defense’s argument and each were appalled that it was even put out for consideration.

Although Jose was sentenced to 100 years in prison, it will not bring the young girl back to life or heal the broken heart her mother has to live with.

The video of the drowning is now a reminder that any sort of behavior that appears to endanger another human being should be reported and not ignored. If the individuals that were in the pool with Jose and his stepdaughter would have reported the incident, the young girl may still be alive today. Instead, the man responsible for her death is allowed to live the rest of his life out in a jail cell in Mexico, as the child’s mother mourns the loss of her daughter.

The child and the mother were both unnamed in the reports.
