Jennifer Lopez Linked To Calvin Harris, Ben Affleck Amid Casper Smart Split
It didn’t take long for the media to link Jennifer Lopez to various men since her split from Casper Smart. The performer has been linked to both Calvin Harris and former fiancé Ben Affleck.
Rumors have been circulating that Jennifer Lopez, 47, and Calvin Harris, 32, have been “secretly dating” throughout most of the summer. They want to do it quietly to not upset their exes and have such a public relationship, claims inside sources.
“Calvin and Jennifer are careful to not be seen together. It’s very early days, and they’re keeping things on the down-low.”
Both Lopez and Harris have residencies in Las Vegas. Lopez has a Planet Hollywood while Harris is at the MGM Grand, Omnia at Caesars Palace, and Wet Republic Ultra Pool at MGM Grand. Harris has been linked to his fair share of beauties including R&B singer Tinashe and Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez.
Harris has been most recently linked to Lopez after he attended Lopez’s birthday party back in June. Those alleged insiders said that things have things have since gotten romantic between the two.
“They’ve become really close. There’s epic chemistry between them,” the source added.
However, Lopez and Harris are trying to convince people that they’re only working on a secret music project together.
“Jennifer and Calvin discussed a possible music collaboration during her birthday party,” a source told People magazine at the time, according to the Hollywood Gossip. “They discussed the types of music they both love. Calvin was excited to be at the party, hanging out with Jennifer and chatting with Benny [Medina].”
Meanwhile, Life & Style magazine alleges that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are back together. An inside source told the tabloid that the famous exes have been secretly talking to each other.
“With J.Lo suddenly single and Jennifer Garner preparing to officially file for divorce from Ben, the former couple have been busy reconnecting. They have been talking on the phone for hours at a time. Their relationship was always intense and had a lot of passion. It’s like they are back together already. After splitting from Casper, she reached out to Ben. She thinks he could be the one and is convinced they’ll make the perfect couple.”
For those who forgot, Ben Affleck was engaged to Jennifer Lopez before he was married to his now ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Their relationship was a whirlwind and glamourous until Affleck allegedly called the singer to tell her that he’s calling off their engagement. In Lopez’s first memoir, she said that she felt like her heart was torn out of her chest, the Daily Mail reported.
However, Gossip Cop has debunked the report about the couple rekindling. The outlet went on to call the tabloid story “ridiculous” and “stupid.” Gossip Cop revealed that In Touch Weekly only ran those allegations because it was easy to link the exes since they are both available at the moment. Many fans still feed into the hype that Bennifer will reunite and get married one day.
Gossip Cop has also since shot down the rumors about Harris and Lopez dating. Last month, it was confirmed that Lopez and Smart have ended their on-and-off relationship again, reports People. Despite the rumors, it was a mutual decision, sources say.
“Jennifer and Casper have split. They have not been together for a few weeks. It wasn’t anything dramatic and they were on good terms – it just came to a natural end. They will remain friends and they see each other, but they are not together. It was very amicable.”
