Kate Middleton: While Pippa Middleton Shows Off Engagement Ring And Basks In Wedding Planning, Duchess Spends Time With Her Parents

Pippa Middleton is having a fabulous summer. After her engagement to James Matthews, she has used several opportunities to show off her ring. Insiders have hinted to the fact that she is planning to wed in 2017, which means she is pretty occupied in terms of planning. At least her sister, Kate Middleton, is thinking about their neglected parents!

While Pippa’s method of raising money for charity is through extreme endurance races, this time, she didn’t mind getting dressed up (with her engagement ring) to attend a function.

“Pippa Middleton made an appearance at the BGC Annual Global Charity Day in London today, where she turned heads in a fashion forward jumpsuit,” reports In Style Magazine. “Middleton completed her ensemble with a pair of diamond stud earrings and her massive engagement ring, which she showed off while making phone calls for the charity.”

Seeing she can’t wear her engagement ring during bike races, marathons, and sailing competitions, it’s no wonder that Pippa Middleton participated in at least one formal charity event to showcase her bling to the British high society.

Meanwhile, her sister, Kate Middleton, is making sure that their parents are not feeling too neglected while their children are shipped off to their significant others. Queen Elizabeth II was also there during their visit, and Kate made sure that everyone felt very much at home.

“Balmoral is playing host to a large family gathering following the arrival of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, and Carole and Michael Middleton,” reports Hello! Magazine. “Kate’s parents flew into Aberdeen last week on a scheduled British Airways flight, just a few hours after their daughter and son-in-law, for a short holiday in the Highlands at the invitation of the Queen.”

Maybe Kate Middleton’s parents were there to make sure that James Matthews marrying Pippa sits well with the Queen. Since James comes from a very respectable Scottish noble family, there should not be any problems with the engagement and the wedding, but the fact that his younger brother is a British reality star of certain notoriety may have irked the royal family.

Spencer Matthews, the infamous younger brother, starred in Made in Chelsea, which got him his own spin-off, The Bachelor. He has been “filmed allegedly snorting cocaine,” made it public that he “lost his virginity at 13,” and “bedded over 1,000 women,” according to the Telegraph.

As for Kate Middleton herself, she has not objected to the prospective wedding. Pippa and James have the full support from the duchess herself, with the spokesperson for Kensington Palace stating that she and Prince William, were “absolutely delighted” by the news of engagement, according to Hello! Magazine.

And it’s possible that the engagement comes at a good time for Pippa. Her publishing business venture has been in the red and shows signs of bankruptcy.

“It’s lucky Pippa Middleton is marrying a millionaire as her business isn’t looking as healthy as she is,” reports the Daily Mail. “Her company accounts reveal that she made a mere £50,000 last year, a fall of £65,000 after posting a profit of £115,000 the year before. Pippa is the sole shareholder of PXM Enterprises, which manages her ‘publishing activities’ – which might include money from her party planning book Celebrate (the one she was reduced to flogging on her parents’ Party Pieces website at a knock-down price).”

James Matthews has largely been unseen by the public after the announcement of his engagement to Kate Middleton’s sister. However, since he is a financier, he might be working long hours as a preparation for the wedding that will happen next year.
