Real Reason Why Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes Keep Denying Their Relationship

The Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes rumors have refused to go away, and both movie stars have refused to comment on their close-knitted relationship, but according to Hollywood Life, the reason might be due to a divorce contract which prohibits Katie from dating publicly. Holmes was made to sign the divorce agreement by her former husband, Tom Cruise. The agreement stipulates that she cannot publicly date anyone until 2017.

According to an inside source close to Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes, the latter agreed to the terms of a separation because she wanted out of the marriage.

“Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him, the Church of Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after their divorce.”

The source added that even though the 37-year-old actress could get away with dating under the radar, her love interest was also not to have any relationship with their 10-year-old daughter, Suri. The Dawson Creek actress got $4.8 million in child support and $5 million for herself after the divorce settlement. According to the source, this is the reason why Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes remain hush-hush about their relationship.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes began dating in April 2005. They were dubbed “TomKat” by the media and made their first public appearance as a Hollywood couple in Rome. In May, Cruise publicly declared his love for Katie on the Oprah Winfrey show, infamously jumping up and down on Winfrey’s couch. Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise got married November 2006, seven months after their daughter, Suri, was born.

By June 2012, after over five years of marriage, Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise. According to the Daily Mail, the Batman Begins actress was not comfortable with Church of Scientology church members moving into their LA home and feared that they would turn her daughter against her. Cruise, who was Hollywood’s most bankable star in 2012, is an outspoken advocate for the church of Scientology and a harsh critic of the use of anti-depressant drugs and psychiatry.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were rumored to be an item less than a year after Katie split from the Mission Impossible star. They were first both spotted at a charity event at the 4th annual Apollo in 2013, dancing together. Many people thought that Foxx was trying to keep quiet about the relationship out of respect for Cruise. Both actors starred in the 2004 action-thriller, Collateral.

In March, Foxx, whose real name is Eric Bishop, spoke out about the Holmes and Foxx romance, and according to US Magazine, he said they were nothing but tabloid rumors and “one hundred percent not true,” even after a leaked photo showed them holding hands.

The Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx rumors just would not go away. Both were spotted in December at Foxx’s birthday bash at a New York restaurant. Katie has also been sighted hanging out at The Honor Bar in Beverly Hills with the Ray star’s youngest daughter, Annalise. The secretive couple has also been spotted enjoying dinner in Toronto when Katie was working on The Kennedys: After Camelot set.

Close friends have confirmed that the pair is dating, adding that it had been going on for years and was not exactly a “secret among close friends.” According to Entertainment Online, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been discrete about the affair, strategically coordinating their arrival and departure times to be at the same location without raising any eyebrows.

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Claudia Jordan, a close friend of Jamie, confirmed the relationship, but later backtracked and changed her story.

“I have no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all. I’ve never seen them together; he’s never told me he’s dating her. I don’t have the knowledge of this being fact, I don’t. I misspoke.”

The true status of Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx will eventually come to light by July 2017 when the relationship contract elapses.
