Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello Overcomes Anxiety Issues To Perform In Dallas

Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello returned to the stage to perform at the band’s stop in Dallas despite dealing with a bout of anxiety on Friday night, multiple media outlets reported.

Several tweets from fans and media outlets showed Camila Cabello singing with the other members of Fifth Harmony Sunday as the group continued their “7/27 Tour.” The sight of Camila Cabello performing onstage was well-received by Fifth Harmony fans, especially after the incident in Missouri.

During the tour stop on Friday, Camila Cabello abruptly left her other band members on stage in the middle of the performance due to dealing with anxiety, according to Rolling Stone magazine. Fifth Harmony still had seven songs left for their set, and the remaining four members continued the concert without the ailing Cabello.

The Fifth Harmony singer later took to Twitter with an odd tweet, adding speculation about what had happened during the concert to cause Camila Cabello to leave so abruptly.

Camila took responsibility for the incident Saturday morning on Snapchat, apologizing to fans for not finishing the show. “Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night,” the Fifth Harmony singer began the video. “Was having too much anxiety and couldn’t finish it… I’m truly sorry.”

Despite the prognosis from Friday’s mishap, Camila Cabello and Fifth Harmony seemed to show no ill effects in Dallas as fans gushed over their performance on Twitter.

Camila Cabello has dealt with anxiety issues since joining Fifth Harmony. In a 2016 cover story on Fifth Harmony, Billboard magazine asked each member of the band to describe their low and high points for the previous year. Camila Cabello — who was described in the article as an “avowed introvert” — detailed her battle with anxiety during 2015.

“I’ll start with the low because that led to the high. I was having terrible anxiety, nonstop. My heart would beat really fast the whole day. Two hours after I woke up, I’d need a nap because my body was so hyperactive. It was so eff — sorry, but it was so f–ed up. I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realized the stuff I thought was important isn’t worth my health. Now I write in a diary every day, work out and meditate.”

Despite being described as introverted, Camila Cabello openly shares images of her body on her Instagram account often. With the sultry photos, the Fifth Harmony singer is often able to share images of her hometown — Miami, Florida — and its vast array of beaches, according to the Inquisitr.

Camila Cabello may not be the only person in Fifth Harmony feeling anxiety these days. According to some recent reports — including one by her hometown newspaper the Miami Herald — Camila Cabello could be contemplating a solo career. Those rumors began anew after four of the five members of the band attended an after-party celebrating Fifth Harmony’s wins at the MTV Music Awards.

Making a move toward a solo career wouldn’t be the first time that Camila Cabello has recorded without her Fifth Harmony band mates. The artist already has one hit song under her belt, recording “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes. The song — one in which the two artists collaborated to write in a reported 30 minutes — was seen as a way for Camila Cabello to test the waters without alienating the rest of Fifth Harmony in the process.
