Both Demi Lovato & Wilmer Valderrama Move On, But She Can’t Let It Go
It seems like both Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have moved on. Wilmer Valderrama has been spotted with a former flame.
The 36-year-old actor was spotted getting cozy with Minka Kelly in Cabo San Lucas, reports People. Valderrama and Kelly, 36, were photographed relaxing on lounge chairs and wearing nearly next to nothing, as seen in the photos at the previously mentioned source. Valderrama wore black swim trunks while Kelly wore a string bikini and a baseball cap.
The couple briefly dated in 2012 when he was on a break with Demi Lovato, but the two are now rekindling their relationship, reports E! News. Valderrama and Kelly were then spotted having dinner at Palms Thai restaurant in Hollywood last Wednesday night. An insider told the outlet that the two were very close during their date, adding that Valderrama acted very much like a gentleman.
“They sat across from each other and it was just the two of them,” the insider added. “I didn’t personally see if they were holding hands or if they were being affectionate, but it looked like a date. They looked casual and relaxed.”
Their newly reunited romance comes just three months after Valderrama and Demi Lovato ended their relationship in June after six years together. The two stars took to their respective Instagram accounts to make the shocking announcement to their fans.
“This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends,” both posted to their Instagram accounts on Friday, June 3. “We will always be supportive of one another.”
Fans of Lovato speculated that she was responding to the news of Valderrama’s relationship on Twitter.
“You have to be capable of being honest with yourself before you can get honest with other people,” the 24-year-old singer tweeted, reports Us Weekly.
Though it’s clear that the message is not a direct reference to Valderrama, fans responded to Lovato’s message to share their kind words of support. Still, Lovato has since moved on with UFC fighter Luke Rockhold. The word on the street is that Valderrama is the one who’s jealous of Lovato’s newfound romance. However, an alleged inside source told Hollywood Life that the actor has not exhibited any signs of jealousy.
“He is not jealous and only wants Demi to be in a good place with a good person. Wilmer doesn’t want anyone to feel bad for him. Demi can do anything she wants and needs to do, he respects her decisions. As long as Demi is happy, that is all that Wilmer can hope for, because no matter where her relationship goes with Luke, the one thing that Demi knows is that Wilmer will always be there for her no matter what.”
Since then, Lovato has been dating the MMA fighter, according to TMZ Sports. The singer and athlete met while working out at the Unbreakable gym in Los Angeles. Lovato and Rockhold have been keeping their relationship on the down low for the past few months, and they have even been sending secret messages to each other via social media.
Back in August, Lovato took to Instagram to share a clip of herself with a happy face tattoo on her pinky finger. A week prior to that, Rockhold shared a photo of a similar happy face tattoo on his pinky finger. It appears that Lovato and Valderrama have moved on from their long-term relationship and are just doing fine these days.
