Nokia to launch a Netbook, the Nokia Booklet 3G

Nokia is to enter the netbook space with the Booklet 3G, a smart looking new netbook with some impressive features.

The Nokia Booklet 3G runs Windows (Win 7 in the demo video), uses an Intel Atom processor and weighs 1.25 kilograms in an aluminium body that takes it design cue from Apple’s Macbook Pro range.

The netbook sports a 10-inch glass screen, an SD card reader, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, HSDPA (3.5G), Wi-Fi, a HDMI port and a front facing camera. Nokia claims the Booklet offers 12 hours of battery life.

The netbook though is burdened with a range of Nokia services, including the Nokia Music Store and the Ovi Suite. However unless they’ve locked it down (unlikely) it wouldn’t be hard to install your own favorite services on it.

Further details (such as price) will be released at Nokia World September 2.
