Vicki Gunvalson Strongly Stands By Kelly Dodd: ‘I Believe Kelly Was Set Up By Shannon’

Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson is trying to get her friendships back after losing them last season over the Brooks Ayers’ cancer drama. Vicki was shocked to learn that her friends were turning their backs on her after she defended a man, who was later busted for lying about his medical records. The truth was never exposed as to whether or not he was really lying about having cancer, but Gunvalson’s co-stars were convinced that he was lying and want her to admit to what she knew. Vicki has apologized, but that isn’t enough for her Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars. Luckily for Vicki, there’s plenty of other drama going on these days and she’s not in the middle of it.

According to a new Bravo report, Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson is now revealing that she’s convinced that Kelly Dodd was completely set up by Shannon Beador. Vicki and Kelly have bonded over the past couple of episodes, and they have truly become good friends. Vicki claims she has thought about everything that was said about Kelly, and she strongly believes that Dodd was set up.

“Yes, I believe Shannon brought her two ‘friends’ to the ’70s party to confront Kelly and I believe Kelly was set up by Shannon. I’ve thought long and hard on this and it doesn’t make sense any other way. I know Kelly felt awful about how she reacted to Shannon and Tamra and the name calling she did to both of them. I think when one is pushed the way Kelly was at the ’70s party, her initial reaction was to attack. I’m hopeful Shannon can forgive Kelly as she has apologized to her, but don’t hold your breath on that one,” Vicki Gunvalson has written on her blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to Bravo.

In her own blog for Bravo, Kelly explains that she has proof that she was set up and will reveal it at the reunion special for this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. It’s uncertain what proof she has, but one can imagine she isn’t exactly playing around when it comes to proving that she was set up.

While Kelly is trying to call out Shannon Beador for her shady behavior, Vicki Gunvalson is still dealing with the backlash from Brooks Ayers, as some of her older co-stars really want her to own up everything. But Vicki reveals that she can’t keep talking about the past.

“I can’t continue to talk about what happened last year, I just simply don’t have the energy. It’s done, it’s over and I’ve moved on. I was the one who was hurt by my past relationship, but somehow they continue to make it about them,” Vicki Gunvalson reveals on her Bravo blog, adding, “I’m hopeful things can go back to normal with my friends and we can move on from all the hurt we have caused one another. I really want to, I’m doing my best. If you have any advice, I’d be sure to take it.”

While Gunvalson had talked to Tamra Judge about her feelings and had tried to apologize, Heather Dubrow doesn’t feel that Vicki has taken any accountability for her actions. According to Us Weekly, Heather flipped out on Vicki during Monday’s episode, telling her that she hadn’t apologized or taken accountability for anything that had happened last year. While Tamra may have forgiven her, Heather needs more from her to move on.

What do you think of Vicki Gunvalson clearly taking sides in the feud between Shannon and Kelly?
