Lindsay Lohan Does Her Best Elizabeth Taylor Impression In ‘Liz And Dick’ Trailer
Lindsay Lohan channels her innner Elizabeth Taylor in the new trailer for the Lifetime original movie Liz and Dick. According to the Daily Mail, the film, which also stars Grant Bowler as Richard Burton, is headed to the cable network in the not-too-distant future. In order to drum up some interest in the made-for-television biopic, Lifetime has released the preview you see embedded below.
The Liz and Dick preview arrives just a few days after the official poster started making the rounds. The artwork, which boasts such provocative descriptors as “child star,” “paparazzi,” and “scandal,” suggests that Elizabeth Taylor and her on-screen impostor Lindsay Lohan have more in common than many folks may realize.
Worst Previews has the official synopsis:
“For nearly a quarter of a century, Taylor and Burton were Hollywood royalty and their fiery romance — often called “the marriage of the century” — was the most notorious, publicized and celebrated love affair of its day.”
“Swarmed by paparazzi, Taylor and Burton’s love affair was played out entirely in front of the global press from the time they met on the set of the major motion picture Cleopatra, left their respective spouses, married and divorced, only to remarry and divorce once again. Despite their roller coaster romance for the public eye to see, Taylor and Burton shared an undeniable love greater than most people could have ever dreamed.”
Interestingly enough, the Mean Girls star enjoyed a scandal of her own early Wednesday morning. The New York Daily News reports that Lohan was involved in a hit and run in New York City, an incident which left a local chef injured and angry. Although surveillance video of the incident suggests the troubled actress did flee the scene of the crime, authorities explained that the seriousness of the victim’s wounds has been exaggerated.
Lifetime’s Liz and Dick airs this November. Do you think Lindsay Lohan was the right choice to portray Elizabeth Taylor?
