Kendall Jenner Frees The Nipple To Show Off Her Nipple Ring

Kendall Jenner has always been quite comfortable with her body. After all, it comes with the modeling territory. Ever since Kendall stepped into the modeling world at the young age of 18, she’s posed in several topless photo shoots. She’s even walked down the Marc Jacobs runway with her nipples poking through a sheer sweater.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is also not afraid to walk around with her nipples exposed through her sheer shirts. Jenner, 20, made headlines last month when she wore matching head-to-toe black tops and denim jeans with her friends Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin on the streets of New York City. But, the focus was on Jenner’s black top, as it exposed her nipples. Some people were outraged to see that she was talking around topless while others wondered if Jenner knew about the mishap.

It looks like Kendall is freeing her nipples for a good reason. She took to her website and app to talk about the Free Nipple Movement, but only because she likes to show off her new accessory. Kendall explained that the reason why she likes to go braless is because she loves to show off her nipple ring. Just because she happened to pierce an intimate part of her body doesn’t mean that she should hide it away from the world.

“I really don’t see what the big deal is with going braless. I think it’s cool and I really just don’t care! It’s sexy, it’s comfortable and I’m cool with my breasts. That’s it!”

Jenner also explained that she loves to show off her various nipple rings. Yes, she has more than one.

“It’s also a fun way to show off my different nipple rings… Jacquie Aiche made me a couple of pieces that a really sick, like a pair of angel wings.”

The reason why Kendall decided to get her nipple pierced is because she was going through a dark period in her life where she wanted to be more spontaneous and rebellious. She added that she doesn’t like that people constantly talk about her nipples or her piercing; however, her sisters were shocked to hear that she got them done.

She also denied that she was copying her little sister Kylie Jenner, who first revealed her nipple piercings on Snapchat.

“I wanted to get the piercing for so long before Kylie. She did hers and then everyone thought I copied her.”

According to a report via Attn.com, it looks like science is supporting Kendall’s Free the Nipple Movement. A 2013 study by a French sports researcher, Jean-Denis Rouillon, discovered how wearing a bra affected 330 women between the ages of 18 and 34 over the course of 15 years, according to CBS News. The researcher found that the women who went braless had firmer and lifted breasts over the years. It also made their stretch marks go away.

“Our first results confirm the hypothesis that the bra is a false need,” Rouillon told French news site France Info. “Medically, physiologically, anatomically, the breast does not benefit from being deprived of gravity. Instead, it languishes with a bra.”

The results revealed that wearing a bra restricts breast tissue grow and allows the muscles that support women’s breasts to deteriorate over time. Rouillon also added that women who have been wearing bras for many years won’t benefit from ditching them anytime soon.

“It would be dangerous to advise all women to stop wearing their soutien-gorge (bra) as the women involved were not a representative sample of the population,” he told French-English news outlet the Connextion.

Of course, Jenner’s reason for going braless is not for the health of her breasts. It’s simply to make an edgy fashion statement. There is no doubt that Jenner’s decision to free her nipples will draw backlash and media attention. And the decision to free her own nipples will not affect her career. There are many women of color and plus-sized women who are criticized for going braless and could even risk losing their jobs.

Kendall last talked about her nipple piercing on her website and app last year, according to People’s StyleWatch. Then, she clarified any confusion over the timeline over her and Kylie getting their nipples pierced. Kendall admitted that she wanted to get hers done for some time, but it was actually Kylie who gave her to the push after she got hers done.

“She did hers and then everyone thought I copied her, but I swear I had the idea first,” she wrote. “I asked all of my friends who have them (and Kylie, too), and they said that it KILLED. But in the end, it really wasn’t that bad,” she said. Maybe it was that I prepared myself for it to be such an awful experience that in the end I was okay with it?”
