Ariana Grande Battling With ‘Dangerous Woman Tour’ Promoters, ‘They Don’t Think It Will Sell’ [Report]

Could Ariana Grande’s highly anticipated “Dangerous Women Tour” already be in jeopardy?

According to a new report by Perez Hilton, Grande and her team are allegedly having trouble finding promoters to support her next tour, which she’s been teasing to fans for months.

Hilton alleged on his podcast, The PHP: Perez Hilton Podcast, that Grande and her team are reportedly looking to play arena shows in support of her latest album, Dangerous Woman, but concert promoters are supposedly worried about backing such a large scale tour from the “Into You” singer.

“I’m hearing that [Ariana] and her new team want to go and do arenas again,” Hilton claimed this week.

“So if she’s not going to do arenas again, that means something’s wrong,” Perez continued on the podcast. “I’m hearing that there is resistance among promoters to back an arena tour with Ariana Grande. They don’t think it will sell.”

Ariana and her team are yet to respond to Perez’s tour claims, though Grande has embarked on an arena tour before.

Grande kicked-off “The Honeymoon Tour” in February 2015, playing more than 80 shows in North America, Europe, Asia, and South America before the tour wrapped in October 2015 after grossing $41 million according to Pollstar.

But as rumors swirl about the current status of the “Dangerous Woman Tour,” Grande hasn’t exactly been shy about her plans to hit the road in support of her latest album.

As recently as July 7, Grande told fans on social media that her tour dates were currently being worked on, suggesting that the details could be released sooner rather than later. “Working on these tour dates for you, babes…” Ariana tweeted out.

Fans have long been speculating about an impending tour from Grande ever since the star teased that she was planning a big tour in late 2016 or early 2017 in support of her latest album ahead of its May 20 release.

Ariana officially announced her plans to hit the road in support of Dangerous Woman in a message posted to her official website last month, where she gave fans the chance to get their hands on pre-sale tickets.

According to On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Grande revealed her tour plans earlier this year, allowing fans to receive a pre-sale code to her upcoming shows by ordering the album through her official website.

“I want you to be the first to know that I’m going on tour end of this year/early next year!” Ariana told fans on her official site. “Details are still being finalized but I want to give you the chance to get the tickets before anyone else!”

“Order my album… on my official store to receive a pre-sale code that gives you an opportunity to buy the tickets in advance of the general on-sale,” Grande added, hinting that tour plans have now been in the works for months.

Rumors of “Dangerous Woman Tour” dates dropping imminently then went into overdrive last month after fans noticed that Grande’s official website had been updated with a ‘Tour’ tab, suggesting that Grande’s show schedule may have already been finalized.

“The TOUR section has been added to Ariana Grande’s website,” Ariana Twitter update account @ArianaNewsWorld tweeted out on June 21. “Maybe we may have tour dates soon.”

The section is still invisible on ArianaGrande.com, though the social media account revealed at the time that the new tab can be accessed via search engines.

The news appeared to get fans pretty excited, though Ariana’s supporters are still waiting on “Dangerous Woman Tour” dates causing many taking to social media to encourage Grande and her team to drop the details as soon as possible.

“When is Ariana gonna drop tour dates?? in 4 days it’ll be 2 months since the release of [Dangerous Woman],” Twitter fan @GrandesVelvet wrote, while @HannahSparkle_ tweeted, “Ariana needs to hurry tf up with these tour dates like its killin me.”
