‘Bachelorette’ JoJo Fletcher Calls Off Engagement? ‘Reality Steve’ Confirms Relationship Status, Hints At ‘After The Final Rose’ Drama

The Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher hands out her final rose on the August 1 season finale and there is speculation that she is no longer engaged to the guy she picked. Will she appear on the After the Final Rose special flashing a pricey Neil Lane diamond engagement ring, or will she tell host Chris Harrison that things didn’t work out?

[Warning: Bachelorette Season 12 spoilers ahead]

According to a report from Life & Style, JoJo faced quite a dilemma at the final rose ceremony that was filmed in May — both of her final two guys proposed to her, reminiscent of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of the Bachelorette.

Filmed in Thailand, spoilers indicate that Chase McNary was eliminated after the overnight dates, leaving Jordan Rodgers and Robby Hayes as JoJo’s final two. ABC‘s previews for the season finale (video below) show JoJo crying over the decision she has to make, but Reality Steve is confident that she will choose Jordan despite the red flags about his infidelities that have been raised throughout the season.

Although Steve states that he believes Jordan and JoJo are still engaged, he says there is “not a chance in hell” that they will stay together and there’s a possibility that they could break up by the time the finale airs on August 1.

When asked by a reader if Jordan has been “skulking around” the Raya dating app because JoJo has already ended their engagement, or if they will “fake being together” during the live After the Final Rose special, Reality Steve states that “anything’s possible.”

However, Steve doesn’t think that they will break off their engagement until the show is over — perhaps because the perks are better if they stay together for awhile?

Of course, Bachelorette producers play a major role in how their relationship — or breakup — will play out on TV. A messy breakup or a love story — both are great for ratings, so they are probably weighing their options.

“From everything I’ve gathered they are still together. Could they break up by the finale? Sure. Anything’s possible. I just don’t think they will be.”

Although Steve doesn’t think JoJo and Jordan will make it as a long-term couple, his prediction shouldn’t come as a big surprise to fans of ABC’s popular reality show. There have been 20 seasons of The Bachelor and 11 seasons of The Bachelorette, but there have only been a few marriages.

According to WetPaint, three Bachelorette couples married after meeting on the show, including Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter (Season 1); Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum (Season 7); and Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried (Season 9).

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici (Season 17) are the only Bachelor couple who married (and recently had their first child) after 20 seasons of the reality show, unless you count Jason Mesnick’s marriage to runner-up Molly Malaney. Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, who got engaged earlier this year on the Season 20 Bachelor finale, have yet to announce a wedding date.

If the love connection doesn’t work out for Bachelorette JoJo, she won’t come out empty-handed as far as her career goes. Whether she continues her real estate development business or gets into something television-related, Reality Steve states that she “is a smart girl” and will fare well after she moves on from the drama.

The Bachelorette starring JoJo Fletcher airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The two-hour season finale is scheduled to air on August 1 at 8 p.m. ET followed by the live After the Final Rose special at 10 p.m. ET.
