Blake Lively Interview: ‘I’ve Never Been Happier In My Life’

The marriage of actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds has been confirmed by multiple sources, but the celebrity couple has been pretty mum themselves about their secret nuptials. In an interview leading up to the wedding, Lively didn’t talk about getting hitched to Reynolds directly, but dropped several hints that she is ready to settle down and start a family.

In an interview with Allure that took place about a month and a half before quietly getting married to Reynolds, Lively did say that she has “always wanted a big family” and would “love 30” kids. In the just-released interview, Lively also said that “I’m a very shy person,” and that, “I can be outgoing, but I’m also very private,” shedding some light on the secrecy revolving around her marriage to Reynolds.

Her quiet marriage to Reynolds fits with Lively’s otherwise down-to-earth lifestyle. Allure calls her “the rare actress who actually eats at restaurants,” and Lively has famously confessed that she does little if anything to stay in shape. “I obviously have plenty of imperfections on my body, but I’d rather have a little bit of cellulite and go do a food trip and try every ice cream place in the South,” she says. Lively also admitted that she doesn’t drink, has “never tried a drug,” and hates going to clubs.

With Gossip Girl ending soon, Lively also talked about what’s next for her in both her professional and personal life. “I’ve worked on a lot of characters in the past five years, but I haven’t had time to work on my own character. That’s something that I’m really excited to do. I thought, I can’t wait for Gossip Girl to be done because there are so many movies I want to do!” she jokes, before adding a personal bit about her life.

“But right now, I’m so peaceful. I’ve never been happier in my life.”

I smell one of those rare Hollywood couples like Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.

Congratulations to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds on their (secret) marriage!
