Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, & Kylie Jenner: Celebs Who Use Their Bodies As Billboards

Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Kylie Jenner all have one thing in common: they use their killer bodies to promote products. Why pay for advertising when you can use your body to advertise? These celebs have taken the term “self-promotion” to a whole new level.

Kim Kardashian’s Entire Body

Kim Kardashian’s entire brand is well, Kim Kardashian. Kim has been well known to use her butt to promote products ranging from Kimojis to wrapping paper. Now, Kardashian’s “ugly crying face” has been used as an iPhone case cover. Over the years, Kim has launched risky photos which turned into a wave of memes, making her a usual trending topic on Google and Twitter. Branding expert Megan Hartman discusses Kim’s use of overexposure to advance her brand.

“She is playing into the public’s perception of herself as overly sexualized and overexposed (literally), yet by choosing Paper magazine and photographer Jean-Paul Goude, she is consciously advancing her brand rather than damaging it.”

Hartman tells NY Daily news, “She is doing what we all know Kim Kardashian does best: overexpose herself, but in a way that elevates her brand into a more highbrow world.”

Taylor Swift and the Number 13

Whenever fans see the number 13, they’re swiftly reminded of Taylor and her self-proclaimed obsession with the number 13. Swift religiously wore “13” on her hand before concerts and walking around in public. Many fans still show up to Taylor’s concerts wearing the number on the back of their hand. Others will rock the number 13 for good luck before a school exam. Swift tells MTV about the weird but good connection she has with the number.

“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro,” she said. “Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter.”

“Basically whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.”

Since Taylor says if the number comes up in her life, it’s a good thing. We’ll keep an eye out for the number 13 popping up with her current beau, Tom Hiddleston.

Beyoncé And Her Lemons

Beyoncé’s marketing campaigns have been called flawless. Queen Bey has been promoting her latest album Lemonade with various looks which include carefully curated selections of lemon-themed accessories. Beyoncé was first seen outside with husband Jay-Z after wearing a bright yellow jump suit — this was immediately after the release of the Lemonade visual album, according to The Telegraph.

Lemonade, the visual album, had no release date when the single “Formation” was released on February 6, 2016. Beyoncé created her album, a film/musical/series of music videos that were released on HBO for free.

Her album was then dropped on Tidal, and she started her world tour that same week. In the midst of all of this, Beyoncé did a ton of self-promotion for her Lemonade album.

Kylie Jenner’s Lips, Hair, and Nails

Kylie Jenner recently turned her nails into a billboard using her signature black-and-white drip logo from her lip kit packaging. According to People magazine, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 18, made her Lip Kit logo nail art and says her nails were inspired by her Lip Kits. However, an Instagram Kylie Jenner super fan claims the KUWTK star copied her nail design. The fan created the exact same nail design several weeks ago.

The Kylie Jenner Lip Kit promotion began when Kylie posted a ton of photos on her new, plump lips. The “Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge” began, then bam!—Kylie Lip Kits were on the market.

Jenner’s weaves took off in the same fashion. First, Kylie started taking a ton of Instagram photos with super long weaves. Then, her weaves got longer and in more outrageous colors like teal. Then seemingly out of nowhere, Kylie Hair Kouture BELLAMI weaves hit the shelves.

Now, the KUWTK star has been drawing a ton of attention to her nails and various nail designs. Kylie recently showed off her Kylie Lip Kit nail design which she reportedly copied from a fan. Is Kylie going to come out with some kind of trademark emoji-like nail design?
