‘Gilmore Girls’ Is Going International! The Show Will Be Added To Netflix Worldwide

Pack your coffee and your books! Gilmore Girls is going international. As fans of the popular mother/daughter sitcom anxiously wait the release of the Gilmore Girls revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, international fans can now binge watch the series too. On June 28, Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai Gilmore, announced on the Gilmore Girls Facebook page that beginning on July 1 Gilmore Girls will be available to stream on Netflix worldwide. That means no matter which country you’re in, whether it’s the U.K. or Japan or Germany or even Saudi Arabia, as long as you have Netflix you can watch Gilmore Girls.

Gilmore Girls fans everywhere are ecstatic with the news. Some have never had the pleasure of watching the show so this will be their first time getting to watch it from beginning to end. They’ll get to finally decide if they’re on team Dean, Jess, or Logan. They can finally fall in love with Stars Hollow and the quirky people that live there. They’ll have to try to keep up with just how fast the characters talk. And more than anything they’ll finally get to see why so many people have fallen in love with the Gilmore girls over the years.

Although there is still no release date for the Gilmore Girls revival, this is just another reason to get excited about the return of the show. It’s clear Netflix has high hopes for the show’s success if they’re making the streaming for Gilmore Girls worldwide. There’s no doubt that once the revival is released, it will also be released globally so fans everywhere can watch it.

The filming of the revival wrapped back in May and fans can’t wait until it’s finally released. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Gilmore Girls revival will contain four 90-minute movies, each pertaining to a particular season. There’s been a lot of speculation about what will happen in the new series and what to expect but for the most part, the cast has been completely quiet about the plot. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from making their own guesses.

Most Gilmore Girls fans are hoping for a Luke and Lorelai wedding at some point during the revival. The couple that took four seasons to finally get together got back together in the series finale so fans never got to see Lorelai walk down the aisle in her gorgeous wedding dress. Based on the released set photos and pictures of the cast, it looks like Luke and Lorelai are still happily together in the revival, but it’s unclear if wedding bells are really in their future.

As for Rory, based on set photos, most fans believe she’ll be a teacher at her high school, Chilton. Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but others believe that Rory probably has something bigger going on than just teaching. Moreover, fans are heavily debating if she’ll end up with one of her past boyfriends. There are still very solid teams and debates about who Rory truly belongs with. Should it be Dean, her first boyfriend? Jess, the bad boy turned author? Logan, her college boyfriend who’s proposal she turned down? Someone new entirely? Or should Rory just say single and do her own thing?

Unfortunately, it may be a while before we find out what happens with our favorite Gilmore girls. One thing that everyone is absolutely dying to know is what the last four words of the revival will be. Show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has hinted it’s the perfect ending and that the words are said between Lorelai and Rory, but for now, that’s all we know. Whatever it is we know, it’ll be hard to say goodbye to our favorite characters all over again.
