Bush told French President Iraq was a quest foretold in the Bible

If you thought that the WMD story behind the invasion of Iraq was bad, wait until you hear what former US President George W Bush told then French President Jacques Chirac: the invasion of Iraq what a bible prophecy.

French journalist Jean-Claude Maurice details the exchange in a new book due out in March. The following from Secular Humanism via Donklephant:

President George W. Bush told French President Jacques Chirac in early 2003 that Iraq must be invaded to thwart Gog and Magog, the Bible’s satanic agents of the Apocalypse.

Honest. This isn’t a joke. The president of the United States, in a top-secret phone call to a major European ally, asked for French troops to join American soldiers in attacking Iraq as a mission from God.

Now out of office, Chirac recounts that the American leader appealed to their “common faith” (Christianity) and told him: “Gog and Magog are at work in the Middle East…. The biblical prophecies are being fulfilled…. This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people’s enemies before a New Age begins.”

This bizarre episode occurred while the White House was assembling its “coalition of the willing” to unleash the Iraq invasion. Chirac says he was boggled by Bush’s call and “wondered how someone could be so superficial and fanatical in their beliefs.”

Sadly there are many in the United States that would have supported Bush in making this call.

After it became clear (to anyone interested in facts over fiction) that the Bush-Cheney (B-C) cabal had carefully staged the fictional contents of reports which falsely indicated that the regime of Saddam Hussein had WMD, these false reports were given to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees. After presently the Iraqi WMD lies there, B-C then presented these lies to the rest of Congress and the American people, declaring that America was in 'clear and present danger' of being attacked by either the agents of Saddam Hussein, or Al-Qaeda using Iraqi WMD. These lies were used by B-C to justify invading Iraq. Iraq was invaded. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld forbade any discussion of post-invasion planning, which enabled insurgents to take over Iraq and firmly entrench themselves. Genocidal ethnic-cleansing begins in earnest due to no post-invasion security. Ultimately, over 100,000 Iraqi civilians are killed. Nearly 5,000 American soldiers are killed, tens of thousands of American soldiers are permanently maimed. Monetary costs, thus far, are in the trillions, because of the lie that the war would pay for itself. The Iraqi Invasion becomes the first war in the history of America where taxes were not increased to pay for it. All of this blood and horror, loss of lives and an almost unimaginable amount of debt is generated by the lies of the Bush-Cheney Cabal. And now, Bush allegedly tells the French president that God told him to do it. The republican-controlled Congress spent over $70 million dollars investigating every ridiculous rumor and outright lie about the Clintons—they were accused of murder and treason among many, many other profoundly false allegations—and they finally got the president lying about cheating on his wife, which was none of anybody's business to begin with. Don't you think it is time to investigate the Bush-Cheney syndicate? These real (not fictional) war criminals belong behind bars. When President Clinton lied nobody died.
