‘Frozen 2’ Will Show Incestuous Relationship Between Elsa And Anna?

Disney’s Frozen 2 has no official release date as far now, but the sequel of 2013’s blockbuster musical film has already created a lot of buzz over the social issues it is going to cover. From the past few months, hundreds of fans took over to different social media platforms to express their wish to see film’s protagonist turning into a lesbian. Not only this, recent reports suggests that Queen Elsa will fall in love with her sister Anna in the upcoming animated film and will have an incestuous relationship with her.

According to Australia Network News, Anna and Elsa are not real sisters, and this why Anna does not have magical powers like the queen. The article further states that Frozen and Tangled are deeply connected, and Anna is just an adopted daughter of the deceased King and Queen of Arendelle. Parent Herald further reported that, if Elsa and Anna are not real sisters, then there is a huge possibility that in Frozen 2, Queen Elsa will fall in love with Anna.

The idea of Elsa turning into a lesbian character first arose by Feminist Culture founder Alexis Isabel Moncada, who asked Disney from her Twitter account to give Elsa a girlfriend.

After tweeting about her desire to see a lesbian Elsa in Frozen 2, Moncado wrote a piece for MTV News, where she revealed that in all her life, she has seen that Disney princesses always fall for a charming prince who saves them from an evil entity but it has never happened that one got to see a princess falling in love with another princess.

“The entertainment industry has given us girls who have fallen in love with beasts, ogres who fall for humans, and even grown women who love bees. But we’ve never been able to see the purity in a queer relationship.”

Apart from the fans, even the film’s cast thinks that if Disney will introduce Elsa as a lesbian character, then it will surely be a bold move from the studio. Idina Menzel, who give voice to Elsa, has supported the fans to showcase Elsa as a lesbian queen. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the singer stated that it would be a nice idea to give Elsa a girlfriend.

“I think it’s great. Disney’s just gotta contend with that. I’ll let them figure that out.”

Frozen’s academy award-winning song, “Let It Go,” was viewed by many pastors as Elsa’s desire to come out in public and accept her sexual orientation. However, when in an interview with Yahoo Movies, it was asked to film’s co-director Jennifer Lee about her own perception of homosexuality and the interpretation of the sensational song, the filmmaker stated that they have made the film for viewers and it is up to them as how they perceive it.

Film’s co-director Chris Buck also seems to support the idea of lesbian Elsa. During an interview with MTV News, Buck revealed that the writing team will definitely try to touch the social issues.

“When the kids [watch] them, they watch them over and over again, and if we don’t have a decent message in there, I think we’ve missed an opportunity.”

On the other hand, there are many who does not want their children to see a lesbian character on screen. Kevin Swanson, a right-wing extremist pastor, has revealed that Disney’s Frozen is insidious in nature. The pastor seems to believe that the animated movie is a “Satanic plot to turn kids gay.” On his radio show, One Place Ministries, he revealed why he thinks that Disney is trying to demonize the American population by Frozen.

“Anybody who has the guts to stand up against the homosexualizing of kids in the present day will be shamed for it, and that means that the homosexualizing of kids will be, I think, wholesale happening across this country in the next two, three, four, five, 10 years. Of course, Frozen, and is going to get Elsa a girlfriend, eventually. That’s the way you destroy sexuality. That’s the way you destroy an entire civilization. The entire social system of the United States of America is collapsing.”

Well, Disney’s Frozen 2 is still in its pre-production stage and so far nothing has confirmed from the movie’s writers or directors about the possibility of showing a love interest between Queen Elsa and her sister Anna. If Disney will even think of showing an incestous relationship between the two sisters then there are many fans who are not going to take this lightly. What do you expect from Frozen 2?
