‘Real Housewives Of New York’ Bringing Jill Zarin Back Despite It Being An ‘Unhealthy Environment’?

Despite a lengthy absence, Jill Zarin might be returning to The Real Housewives of New York. How will the ladies — and fans — react to Zarin’s return?

Although Zarin started off as a likable character on the show, Reality Tea reports that she quickly became one of the most hated. Not only did she butt heads with her co-stars, but fans quickly grew tired of seeing her constantly stirring things up.

She even angered Andy Cohen during an episode of Watch What Happens Live.

Of course, it has been a while since Zarin appeared in an episode of RHONY. If time has healed her past mistakes, then bringing her back on the show might not be a bad idea.

Interestingly, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, who has become a controversial figure this season, recently dished on who she’d like to see on the show again.

“You know, I always miss the girls who aren’t on the show anymore,” de Lesseps shared in an interview with 9 News. “Kristen [Taekman] is a great girl, so is Heather [Thomson]. But you know, they’ve moved on and I just keep moving forward.”

De Lesseps was then asked which former Housewife she would like to see return to the series.

“Oh, Jill Zarin!” de Lesseps stated. “Everybody wants to see Jill.”

As fans will recall, Zarin left The Real Housewives of New York in 2011 following some major casting shake-ups. Since her departure, Zarin is one of a few members who has failed to make some kind of cameo on the show.

That being said, this is not the first time Zarin’s name has been brought up since her exit. Back in 2014, Zarin was scheduled to make a cameo on RHONY. Unfortunately, Ramona Singer blocked her out.

“Ramona found out, and she put the kibosh on that. Because Jill had the ‘goods’ on her… What that means is Jill knew what was going on in Ramona’s life,” de Lesseps added.

While it cannot be confirmed, it is highly likely that Zarin had inside information on Singer’s cheating husband, Mario.

At the same time, there are other cast members who would reject the idea of bringing Zarin back. In fact, Bethenny Frankel has made it clear that she dislikes Zarin. Considering Frankel’s influence on the show, it is not likely that producers would go against her recommendations.

As far as de Lesseps is concerned, it makes perfect sense that she would want to bring Zarin back. After all, Zarin originally introduced de Lesseps to RHONY producers.

According to the Huffington Post, Zarin and de Lesseps first met each other at a party in the Hamptons. The two clicked right off the bat, and Zarin invited de Lesseps to the show that would eventually become RHONY.

Considering their past relationship, there is little doubt that de Lesseps would like to have another friend in her corner this season.

Although de Lesseps wants her back, that doesn’t mean Zarin wants to return. According to Page Six, Zarin doesn’t think fondly about her time on the reality show.

“There are some things about it I miss, there are a lot of things I can’t personally handle,” Zarin shared. “It’s not healthy for me.”

Zarin’s main beef was with Frankel and Singer, though she does like some of the other ladies on the show.

“I love Dorinda, I can’t say enough about Dorinda and John [Mahdessian],” she stated. “I wish I was on the show to protect her and help her.”

Unfortunately, with Frankel “in charge,” there is little hope that Zarin will be included in the series anytime soon.
