Orlando Shooting May Be Donald Trump’s Downfall, Perez Hilton Chides Him

Donald Trump is one of the most polarizing presidential candidates in the United States. Having began his presidential campaign as the underdog, he is presently likely to become the president of the United States. According to a recent poll be Reuters, he trails Hillary Clinton by 11 points. The following is an excerpt of the report by AOL.

“Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 11 points in the U.S. presidential race, showing little change after she became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee this week, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday. The online poll, conducted from Monday to Friday, shows 46 percent of likely voters support Clinton while 34.8 percent back Trump. Another 19.2 percent support neither candidate.”

The survey was carried out in June 10. Having gained significant momentum brushing off critics, bashing the media, and publicly humiliating his rivals, it seems that Donald Trump has just made one of his biggest mistakes since he began his presidential bid.

And that is to react to the news of the unfortunate shooting of revelers at a gay club in Orlando in a most inappropriate way, angering millions. The following is the tweet in question.

His message comes at a time when 50 people have so far been confirmed dead, following an act of terrorism by an ISIS sympathizer, and many still trying to come to terms with the loss of loved ones. A man going by the name of Omar Mateen has been identified as the gunman. He was shot and killed by the police around 5 a.m. in the morning, according to CNN. The following is an excerpt of the report about the incident, according to the site.

“Mateen carried an assault rifle and a pistol into the packed Pulse club about 2 a.m. Friday and started shooting, killing 50 people and wounding at least 53, police said. After a standoff of about three hours, police crashed into the building with an armored vehicle and killed Mateen… People inside the cavernous nightclub described a scene of panic made more confusing by the loud music and darkness.

“Christopher Hansen said he was getting a drink at the bar about 2 a.m. when he “just saw bodies going down.”
