Finally, the roster of free PlayStation Plus games for the month of June has officially been unleashed. A recent blog post on the official PlayStation Blog site revealed that NBA 2K16 is one of the free PS titles for June 2016.

Rumors were apparently true regarding the games PS Plus members will get for free this June. Ahead of Sony’s official announcement about the new list of free PlayStation Plus games, reports regarding early leaks circulated online, including info about two PS4 titles that will be part of the latest lineup. According to Express, these games were seen in the emails sent out by Sony PlayStation. NBA 2K16 and Gone Home are part of the email coding, revealing that they will be included in the newest list of free games.

Today, May 31, Greg Lewickyj, PS Plus Content Partnership Manager, via the PlayStation Blog, disclosed the full and official lineup for June 2016’s free titles, which includes these aforementioned purported video games.

Sony PlayStation partnered with 2K to make NBA 2K16 one of the newest free PS Plus games in time for the NBA Finals. NBA 2K16, released September last year, was developed by Visual Concepts and is the 17th entry in the NBA 2K video game franchise.

Furthermore, its PS Store page claimed it is the “most authentic NBA gaming experience yet,” with better animations and a unique cover design that features Anthony Davis, James Harden, and Stephen Curry. NBA 2K16 also brings in offline modes such as MyCareer and MyGM as well as online game modes called MyLeague and MyTeam, the PlayStation Blog noted.

Gone Home: Console Edition is also one of the free PlayStation Plus games this June. It is a first-person adventure exploration video game developed by the Fullbright Company and Midnight City. The PS4 game received a Metascore of 85 on Metacritic and a User Score of 3.7.

The game summary, as posted on the website, reads as follows.

“The eldest daughter of the Greenbriar family returns after a year abroad. She expects her parents and sister to greet her. Instead she finds only a deserted house, filled with secrets. Where is everyone? And what’s happened here? Find out for yourself in Gone Home, a first-person game entirely about exploration, mystery and discovery. The house is yours to explore as you see fit. Open any drawer or door to investigate what’s inside. Piece together the mysteries from notes and clues woven into the house itself. Discover the story of a year in the life of the Greenbriar family. Dig deeper. Go home again.”

Aside from these two PS4 games going free this June, PS Plus members can also get their own copy of four more PlayStation titles. PS3 owners can get Echochrome and Siren: Blood Curse. The former is a puzzle game featuring a black-and-white art style running with 1080p HD resolution and gameplay based on optical illusions, its official PlayStation page noted. Siren, on the other hand, is a survival horror game from developed by SCE Japan Studio. PS3 users with paid PS Plus membership will be able to get Siren: Blood Curse’s 12 episodes for free this month.
