Bethenny Frankel Addresses Those Plastic Surgery Rumors
It’s not entirely surprising to hear that a Real Housewife has had plastic surgery. Bethenny Frankel is one of the most natural and realistic looking stars on the Bravo franchise. However, that hasn’t stopped the tabloids and media outlets from speculating over her slightly different appearance.
The Real Housewives of New York star admitted that she has never gone under the knife, but she has been open to trying Botox injections. In an interview at the Daily Mail’s 2016 New Front in New York City, Bethenny Frankel was candid on how often she would get the procedures done and where on her face she’s had them done.
The reason why Bethenny decided to get Botox injections is because she often grinds her teeth. The suggestion for Botox wasn’t accidental. In fact, it came from a specialist who recommended the procedure to Bethenny.
“About three years ago, my dermatologist said to me, ‘Why don’t we try injecting your jaw because it’s so intense.'”
The Skinnygirl founder admitted that getting regular Botox injections is the reason why she has a rounder chin, which has altered the shape of her face. But Frankel added that she would never go under the knife to alter her looks.
“I think it’s why I can take a shorter haircut,” she admitted. “I have not had invasive plastic surgery. I have not had a nose job.”
Bethenny did backtrack her previous statements and admitted that she had breast augmentation surgery shortly after the Botox injections. She also revealed that she still gets injections around her face on a regular basis.
“I don’t do it religiously. Maybe once a year when I think of it, I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I look like a Shar Pei, let me do that.”
The speculation behind Bethenny Frankel’s face happened last month. The plastic surgery rumors swirled when she looked strikingly different during an outing in NYC. Several top plastic surgeons told Radar Online that Frankel really did go under the knife to alter her appearance.
“Bethenny appears to have had botox, fillers, and some skin tightening like Ulthera, or Pelleve. The wrinkling around her eyes has improved, and depth of her tear troughs and laugh lines have been filled.”
Zara Harutyunyan, D.O.M., R.N., in association with Cosmetic Rejuvenation, claims that Frankel has had more than just Botox injections.
“Bethenny has not only had Botox across her forehead and on her crows feet, but she also appears to have had hyaluronic acid to fill out the hollowness in her face. She also looks to have done Ultherapy, which is an FDA approved treatment for a non-surgical neck and face lift.”
Of course, other ways of reducing crows feet and other signs of aging include using skin moisturizer, quitting smoking, and avoiding the sun or wearing sunscreen. Drinking water and getting plenty of rest is also the best to combat aging since Botox injections are not advised for everyone since some patients have experienced problems with the procedures.
A third plastic surgeon, Dr. Susan Evans, who has also not treated the star told Radar, “It appears that she has had a lot of Botox between her eyebrows to remove the 11 lines. Her cheeks definitely look lifted as well.”
Meanwhile, the celebrity gossip outlet claims that Frankel has gone under the knife to change her face and body ever since her split with ex-husband Jason Hoppy. She has still been going through the difficult divorce process with Hoppy for over four years after their split. The couple shares a 6-year-old daughter, Bryn.
