Jennie Finch Expecting A Daughter


Jennie Finch is adding another member to her family, and the gold medal winning Olympian has taken to her blog to announce that she’s expecting a daughter.

The softball star and husband Casey Daigle will add the new member to their team in January, and she will be the first girl for Jennie Finch who already has two sons, People reported. Finch has been a celebrity blogger for People and used that forum to share her baby news with the world.

Jennie Finch described now, after a busy week this summer that included an appearance at the MLB All-Star Game, the ESPYs, the US Olympic Hall of Fame induction for the 2004 softball team and a number of other appearances, she felt a bit odd.

Finch wrote:

“I looked at Casey and said, ‘I have that feeling again and I think I need to take a pregnancy test.’ He said, ‘I’ve had that same feeling’ so off to the store we went. Sure enough, it came back positive.”

“We were so excited! I love my boys, and I just didn’t feel like I was finished having babies, so this pregnancy is truly another blessing. We’re so grateful for our family as it is, and to think that it will grow even more this winter is amazing.”

Jennie Finch used Twitter to announce that she is expecting a baby girl, Celebrity Baby Scoop noted.

Jennie Finch led the US women’s Olympic softball team to gold in the Athens and Beijing Olympics, and the pitcher is now retired from the game. She and husband Casey Daigle have a 13-month-old son, Diesel Dean, and a six-year-old son, Ace Shane. Jennie Finch is expecting her baby daughter to arrive in January.
