Bill O’Reilly, Accused Of Racism, Now Defends Larry Wilmore’s Use Of The N-Word

A couple of weeks ago, Bill O’Reilly found himself — once again — accused of racism. Gawker was very angry and called him a racist m**********r.

“Bill O’Reilly is not the worst person on Fox News—except for when he definitely is, as in last night’s wild and racist discussion with Donald Trump about black people… O’Reilly asked Trump what his campaign plans to do to win over black voters, and when Trump argued back that actually they love him, O’Reilly moved to pin down what specifically Trump’s ‘message’ to black people will be.”

“But how are you gonna get jobs for them? Many of them are ill-educated and have tattoos on their foreheads and, you know, I hate to be generalized about it but it’s true, uh, if you look at all the educational statistics. How are you going to give jobs to people who aren’t qualified for jobs?” O’Reilly asked Trump, according to the article.

Some thought Bill O’Reilly’s words were taken out of context. However, Bill was widely criticized on Twitter.

Mr. O’Reilly was very angry on his next show and then went into a speech about what got him accused of racism.

“When I asked Trump about all of this [lack of education and responsibility in some African-American communities], he replied that job growth would take care of it…The race hustlers immediately accused me of racism,” O’Reilly angrily pointed out.

It’s quite possible that even though O’Reilly had no intentions of being racist, he’ll be criticized again for defending Larry Wilmore’s use of the phrase “my n***a” at the White House Correspondents Dinner this weekend. Mediate talks about what O’Reilly said on his show Monday evening.

“Bill O’Reilly tonight defended Larry Wilmore from politically correct liberals outraged by his WHCD speech ending with the phrase ‘my n***a’ being addressed to President Obama…O’Reilly said, ‘I wasn’t offended because I felt that Wilmore did it in an affectionate way.'”

According to the article, Bill O’Reilly said it “wasn’t like a rapper” using it in a way that was denigrating. O’Reilly believes Wilmore was telling Obama that he is proud of him. His guest Charles Krauthammer told O’Reilly he wasn’t offended, but he understands that a lot of African-Americans might have been.

According to TMZ, one person who wasn’t happy about Wilmore’s use of the n-word was Al Sharpton.

“Sharpton is pissed Wilmore referred to the Prez [sic] as ‘My n****’during his monologue at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend — but he says the timing of it forced Obama to play it off like it was no big deal,” the article claims.

However, some of the commenters after the article aren’t happy that Al Sharpton commented on the event.

“Oh, please… It seems that Obama and Wilmore are comfortable with each other like friends..Al Sharpton the BIGGEST racist that there is and his ilk are always looking for something to complain about… The race card and everything to do with it has been over played,” claimed MeSweet.

Then, there are some commenters who think Wilmore was definitely in the wrong for his language.

‘It was disrespectful for Wilmore to use that word in that setting to the POTUS. It would be different if it was said in a private laid back conversation and under different circumstances,” says Thinkaboutit.

What do you think of Wilmore’s use of the n-word? Do you agree with Bill O’Reilly and others who say it wasn’t used as a pejorative, so it’s not that big of a deal? Let us know in the comments section.
