Young Thug Threatens Charlamagne Over Birdman Interview

Charlamagne might have bitten off more than he can chew. It seems that Young Thug took to Instagram and made a threat towards the radio host. And from mainstream consensus, many people saw it coming.

On April 22, Birdman and his crew appeared on The Breakfast Club with Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. Before he began the interview, Birdman attempted to set some ground rules and told everyone to respect his name. However, once the interview started, Charlamagne went right into the conversation they had prior to the interview — rather than the standard questions they’d typically ask. From there, things went downhill in under two minutes.

According to Inquisitr, Birdman mentioned to Charlamagne that there was no “issue.” But if there had been, the radio host would’ve already had known about it. He stated as follows.

“Ain’t no issue. If there was a issue, you’d feel me. I just come here to let y’all know to put some respect on my name.”

While it hasn’t been confirmed what struck Birdman’s nerve enough for him to make a personal appearance on the show just to give warning, it’s rumored that someone was heard making fun of him on the show and via social media. More specifically, some rumors state that it deals with his reputation in the music industry. Some artists mention that Birdman isn’t the most “trustworthy” industry head.

On video and via Twitter, Charlamagne Tha God actually said that the Birdman interview was probably a new record for the shortest show they’ve had on The Breakfast Club. If you watch any interviews from the show, you know that their sessions last from 30 minutes to an hour, in general.

Since the session ended, Charlamagne has gotten a lot of praise via Twitter and other social media outlets. Yet, Charlamagne also posted about the Birdman incident. He even tweeted a quote from Louis Farrakhan. It states as follows.

“If you don’t let your ego get the best of you, you can avoid 95 percent of most hostile action.”

So, it can be derived that Charlamagne believes that Birdman allowed his ego to demand the radio cast for respect. Even through the brief interview, Charlamagne remained calm the entire time.

However, Birdman isn’t the only ego with which he has to deal. It seems that Young Thug has jumped into the mix with a threat of his own. Via Instagram, Young Thug stated that Charlamagne might end up getting “tortured.” You can see the video located below.

Apparently, many people saw this threat coming. Just last year, he threatened Metro Boomin’ in the same way.

However, from a look at Charlamagne’s Twitter, a lot of people are taking the threat and Birdman’s request as a joke. Even Michael Blackson got in some humor. He told Charlamagne, “If I was you I would have told Birdman ‘I’m just a beech a** n***a’.” This was actually one of Michael Blackson’s lines from the movie Next Friday.

Nevertheless, XXL reports that Young Thug is successful by the guidance of Birdman. So, in a similar way that Birdman was a mentor to Lil Wayne, he’s been that mentor to Young Thug as well.

Yet, all in all, what are your thoughts about Birdman’s reaction on The Breakfast Club. Do you think Young Thug’s threat is legitimate toward Charlamagne? Should he be more concerned and less humorous? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
