Sandy, Utah – Mormon Church leader Efrey Guzman was arrested on charges stemming from a penis biting attack in Utah. The Latter Day Saints (LDS) church leader is accused of severely biting another man’s penis after allegedly assaulting the victim’s mother and sister.
Efrey Guzmn, 46, is charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated burglary, sexual abuse of a child and forcible sexual abuse in the penis-biting attack. The charges are first and second degree felonies. An affidavit filed with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office states Guzman arrived at the home of a family friend and attempted to grab the buttocks of a 13-year-old girl and kiss her inside her home.
The documents in the penis biting case also note Guzman abruptly left when the 20-year-old brother of the alleged victim came into the room. The incident was not immediately brought to the attention of local authorities. The initial alleged assault occurred in May. On August 2 Guzman reportedly returned to the home of the 13-year-old girl and refused to leave when requested to do so by the girl’s mother, police documents note. Efrey Guzman allegedly pushed his way further into the home and assaulted the mother. The woman claims the Mormon Church leader ripped apart her shirt and left her breast exposed.
“There are some medical things that may affect this man for a long period of time and emotionally these children are devastated,” LDS Bishop Kent Kuhn told ABC 4 News. (She the mother) thought it would be safer here and this makes us really sad to think that something like that could happen here on our street.” The family had recently moved to the area to be closer to more LDS church members.
After yelling for help the woman’s son entered the room and tried to pull Guzman away, the Huffington Post reports. The son claims Guzman turned and viciously assaulted him biting his penis severely. The young man was wearing boxes shorts when the Ladder Day Saint church leader allegedly grabbed his penis through his underwear and bit it so severely that surgery to repair the damage was required. Efrey Guzman was the LDS branch president of a Latino church congregation in Sandy, Utah. He was removed from his post when charges in the penis-biting attack were filed. Guzman is being held in the local jail and faces disciplinary action from the Mormon Church after the legal process concludes.

The writer clearly couldn't contain his excitement in being able to call the suspect a church leader. It should be clarified that this former branch president is not some general authority. If he did what is claimed he deserves jail. Removal from his position was the right thing fire the church to do. The sensationalist imtent (how many times can I use the words penis and church leader?) of typified by the hauler of the writer to find out how to spell the church's name.
They wouldn't get the readers to agree with him if he didn't sensationalize it a bit….OR a lot. (Wording is everything) Sadly ALL news media (even KSL) is that way due to getting advertising dollars.
It is a lot worse out of Utah, we lived in Georgia and when ever it was an LDS individual who was accused of a crime of this sort the church's name was always mentioned in the article with a side note saying they called the church's headquarters in Utah to ask if crimes of this sort was part of their church doctrine. Never did I read an article of other churches being called when their members were discovered to have done sexual crimes. I just knew it wasn't an LDS member that were being accused in those articles.
