Bethenny Frankel Divorce: Is ‘RHONY’ Close To Finalizing Split From Husband Jason Hoppy?

Will Bethenny Frankel’s divorce from Jason Hoppy ever come to an end? The Real Housewives of New York City star separated from her husband in late 2012 and filed for divorce weeks later, but still, the split has yet to be finalized.

Bethenny Frankel married Hoppy in 2010 just prior to giving birth to their daughter, Bryn Casey Hoppy, now five. At the time, Bethenny Frankel had just left The Real Housewives of New York City for her own show, Bethenny Getting Married, which chronicled her and Hoppy’s journey into marriage and parenthood. Once the season was complete, Bravo moved forward with two more seasons, which were renamed Bethenny Ever After.

After leaving the show ahead of her and Hoppy’s split, Bethenny Frankel moved on to her own talk show, Bethenny, which aired for one season on FOX.

Now, years later, as she awaits the finalization of her and Hoppy’s divorce, Bethenny Frankel appears to be dreading heading back to court. However, at this point, it is unclear when that will happen.

On April 10, Bethenny Frankel took to Twitter, where she told fans, “Any time you’re in a court room, anything can happen. It’s so nerve wracking.”

While Bethenny Frankel and her husband continue to feud over their finances and the division of their property, they came to a settlement for the custody of their daughter, Bryn, several months ago, and continue to co-parent their daughter as they attempt to make their final agreements.

Meanwhile, Bethenny Frankel has been struggling with a health issue for the last several months, which fans will be seeing throughout the eighth season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

“I’m facing a women’s health issue that many women can relate to,” Bethenny Frankel said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight last month. “I’m dealing with it head on, and viewers will understand how I personally deal with matters such as this. I hope women can relate, learn and support each other in life moments like this.”

Weeks later, a source claimed the health issue Bethenny Frankel had been faced with was fibroids.

“Bethenny had to have fibroids removed because of concern it wasn’t taken out, she would develop cancer,” a source explained to In Touch Weekly in late March. “The surgery was supposed to be very easy, but Bethenny did suffer from excessive bleeding afterward. It was a scary time for Bethenny and made her realize there was no close family in her life to help with the recovery. Estranged from her mother for years and going through a bitter divorce to estranged husband Jason Hoppy, there aren’t a lot of people in her life that she can rely on.”

Bethenny Frankel has been open with her estrangement from her parents on The Real Housewives of New York City and in the press, and when it comes to the rest of her family, she doesn’t seem to be close with anyone. Luckily, after returning to the Bravo reality series for Season 7, Bethenny Frankel appears to have formed a couple of solid friendships with her co-stars who have hopefully been a support for Frankel as she attempts to get herself back in good health.
