Ellen’s Wild Week With Rihanna, Sia, George Clooney, Tim Tebow

Ellen DeGeneres is great at getting her guests to open up, particularly when she plays her famous game “Never Have I Ever” with them. Rolling Stone reports that the latest stars to play the game with Ellen were none other than Rihanna and George Clooney. Apparently, neither Clooney nor Ellen have ever posted a nude selfie, but Clooney has swum naked in Lake Como, which happens to be where he lives. How unfair, Ellen!

USA Today reports that while he was on Ellen’s show, Clooney told her all about his big proposal to wife Amal, which took an amazing 25 minutes.

“It was one of those horrible moments. I plotted the whole thing out, had the ring hidden behind her. I had music playing, my Aunt Rosemary’s gonna sing Why Shouldn’t I? Everything was planned out, and I’ve cooked dinner… I’ve got it all setup, timed out, and the song is coming and she gets up to go wash the dishes, which she’s never done. She’s like, ‘It’s a ring.’ Like somebody had left it there some other time, I don’t know. I said, ‘I couldn’t imagine spending the rest of my life without you,’ And she kept looking at the ring, and she was looking at me and she’s like, ‘Oh, my God.’ ‘Look, you know I hope the answer is yes, but I need an answer ’cause I’m 52, and I could throw out my hip pretty soon if I don’t get an answer.’ And then she said, ‘Oh, oh yes.'”

Ellen even got former quarterback Tim Tebow to spill exactly what he’s looking for in a woman when he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last Wednesday.

Fox Sports reports that Tebow is single and told Ellen and her audience what type of woman would win his heart.

“Obviously, someone that I’m extremely attracted to, but I think there has to be more there, there has to be depth. Obviously, you have to have similar beliefs, you have to have chemistry, character, but there has to be something more than glitz or glamour.”

On Tuesday, Ellen had Sia on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Ellen knows Sia’s love of wigs. USA Today reports that Ellen gifted the Australian singer-songwriter with a new wig, one that is completely long and lovely.

Sia loved the gift, although it’s hard to tell how she could see it through the wig she was wearing at the time.

“Oh my gosh, it’s beautiful.”

Then Sia performed her amazing song “Bird Set Free.”

She also explained to Ellen the history of the song.

“That one I wrote and I loved it. I wrote it for Pitch Perfect 2, but they ended up taking a song called ‘Flashlight.’ So then I pitched it to Rihanna and Rihanna took that one (before rejecting it). But then Adele heard it and Adele cut it, but then Adele gave it back to me, and I was grateful because I had seller’s remorse.”

But perhaps Ellen’s crowing touch this past week was her gift to her 11-year-old guest, Marley Dias, who also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday to talk about her mission to collect 1,000 books about black girls. Empty Lighthouse Magazine reports that Dias started her campaign when she was in grade five because she couldn’t connect with the books in her library, like “Shiloh,” that she said we about “white boys and their dogs.” Ellen ended up gifting Dias with a check for $10,000 so that she could add as many books as possible to her collection.
