Carrie Underwood Celebrates Huge Milestone After A Naked Surprise
Carrie Underwood is celebrating a huge milestone — and receiving a cheeky surprise.
While in Louisville, Kentucky, for the latest stop on her Storyteller – Stories In The Round Tour, Underwood was welcomed to the Bluegrass state with two huge surprises, one a little more welcome than the other.
Carrie took to Instagram to show off an unexpected naked guest she was greeted by in her Louisville hotel room on February 5, who turned out to be a gold, 30-foot-tall naked intruder.
Underwood posted a shot of her unwelcome hotel room guest, a replica of the statue of David which stands outside Hotel 21C in the city, showing off his naked behind in front of Carrie’s window. “Woke up to this outside my bedroom window,” Carrie captioned the Instagram photo.
But, a bare behind wasn’t the only surprise Underwood was treated to during her recent stop in Kentucky.
Prior to her much-anticipated show at Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center on February 5, Underwood received a much more PG-13 surprise when she was presented with a plaque to celebrate her latest milestone of selling 20 million albums.
Sounds Like Nashville revealed the news via Instagram on February 5, posting a snap of the hardware Underwood was presented with at her Kentucky tour stop.
The latest milestone means that Underwood has moved more than 20 million records in the 10 years since her debut album, Some Hearts, hit shelves in November 2005, just six months after she was crowned the fourth winner of American Idol.
Carrie’s big presentation came just minutes before she took to the stage for the fourth stop on her Storyteller – Stories In The Round Tour, which has been dazzling fans and critics around the United States.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution recently described Underwood’s third time hitting the road for a solo arena tour as “a no-expense-spared spectacle that highlights her approachable beauty, her roar of a voice and a substantive set of songs that have commanded the charts since her American Idol victory a long decade ago.”
The Florida-Times Union also had nothing but praise for Carrie after she began her in the round tour in Jacksonville on January 30. “Lasers and swaying spotlights and fireworks and explosions all added to the spectacle. But make no mistake, Underwood was the star of the show,” the site claimed.
It’s pretty unsurprising that Carrie Underwood is in such great shape as she hits the road to promote her fifth studio album, Storyteller, as Carrie took to social media again last week to give fans a peek inside her decked out, complete state of the art new tour bus.
“New tour toys! Had a #mobilegym made for this year! Now I can workout anywhere,” Underwood told her more than 3 million followers on January 25 alongside a photo of what seemed to be thousands of dollars worth of gym equipment that Carrie travels with in her lavish home away from home.
“There are a few finishing touches that still need to be done to it,” Carrie Underwood continued to fans alongside the social media photo, before revealing that she’s ready to work to follow her inspirational new work out message. “My new motto is: #ShreddedBySummer,” Carrie revealed. “The one and only @eveoverlandfitness is going to help me get there. I’ll post progress as I go! I’m super excited!”
Carrie also revealed her fitness inspiration in a separate post on February 2, where she revealed that she was using the 4×4 diet to keep herself in check.
“I’m so excited for my great friend and fitness inspiration, @erinoprea for this book! She’s the real deal, folks!,” Carrie Underwood wrote. “Anyone can reach their health goals with the right tools. This book is sure to help a lot of people! I’m proud of you, girl!!!”
