Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth broke up a few years ago after being engaged. But those who predicted that Miley and Liam would never reunite may want to get a new crystal ball, because Cyrus and her former boyfriend are together again, with a romance that’s better than ever, an insider told E News.

As for how it came about that Hemsworth and Miley are engaged for the second time, the insider explained that timing was the key to their reconciliation.

“Liam never stopped loving Miley. Liam and Miley’s timing was just off the first time they were engaged, many things played into them calling it off,” explained the source. “They both needed to grow up and figure themselves out more.”

Moreover, Hemsworth’s family approves of his reunion with and engagement to Cyrus. The insider revealed that his family members were always fond of Miley, but were supportive of Liam when he ended it because they were concerned that when they initially announced their engagement, they were too youthful. But now it’s a different time and a different attitude.

“They are in love and it’s a different time now for them,” pointed out the insider.

As for that engagement ring that Miley can’t seem to stop showing off on social media? It’s the 2012 bling brought back for a new life. However, no exact wedding date has emerged yet as to when Liam and Cyrus are thinking about getting married.

As for the details on the ring that Cyrus is sporting for the second time after Liam proposed again, Hemsworth had requested when planning the original design that it be “unusual and “romantic,” reported People.

The 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring is handcrafted in 18-carat gold, and the antique middle stone harks back to the late 19th century. The band also includes exquisitely carved diamond floral motifs.

Jeweler Neil Lane revealed that the romantic element comes into play with its history.

“It was hand-cut around 1880 or 1890 and it’s unique and in its original form,” he explained. “At that time no two diamonds were alike, as they were all hand-cut, so it’s fascinating to look at because it hasn’t been re-cut to look contemporary over the years. I find that really romantic.”

It was in autumn 2013 that Miley and Liam cancelled their original engagement plans. But then came the hints that they were united when they were seen together this month during a musical festival in Austria. An insider revealed that the wedding could take place this spring, and that bigger is better when it comes to the ceremony.

“[Cyrus] can’t wait to be Mrs. Hemsworth and wants to get married as soon as possible, maybe this spring. She’s saying she wants the biggest wedding ever!” added the insider.
