‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Spoilers: Learn How Michael Scofield Returns And What Others Are Coming Back

Prison Break is indeed returning for a fifth season, and that was confirmed months ago by FOX, but there has not been a lot of other info since then. The hit show that has been off the air since ending in 2009 is coming back, and now spoilers are starting to roll out. One of the biggest questions is how Michael Scofield’s return will be explained, but one way or another, it will happen.

Please let it be known that the following information does include SPOILERS that may or may not end up being true for season 5 of Prison Break. If you don’t wish to know anything ahead of time, then stop reading now.

Back in August, FOX announced the official return of Prison Break for at least a fifth season, and IGN let it be known that the brothers are going to be returning per the studio’s chairman and CEO Gary Newman.

“Paul Scheuring came in and pitched a great story to bring the show back. It’s going to bring back both brothers –Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. Paul’s busy writing the first episode and a [series] bible.”

Obviously, this surprised a lot of people as they know that Wentworth Miller’s character of Michael Scofield was indeed done for and finished. Now, it’s confirmed that he will be coming back, and fans want to know how that could possibly happen.

This is where SPOILERS are coming full-force, so stop reading if you don’t want to know what’s going to happen before it does.

Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is going to have his death from season 4 of Prison Break explained in a “logical and believable” way, according to Newman and Dana Walden, FOX’s other CEO.

You see, Scofield faked his own death, and viewers of Prison Break are not going to moan and groan over the way it happened. They will accept it and see it as an explanation that actually makes a lot of sense and isn’t too far-fetched.

Fans are also wondering who else is coming back for season 5 of Prison Break, and it’s going to be a rather big returning cast, according to Christian Post.

So far, it’s almost a certainty that Dr. Sara Tancredi, played by Sarah Wayne Callies, will be coming back. Sara was the wife of Michael Scofield and at the end of the series in 2009, she was pregnant with his baby.

Callies was also on The Walking Dead, so it’s obvious that she knows how to end up on the truly big hit shows.

Robert Knepper is also expected to return when Prison Break is back on the air and reprises his role as Theodore Bagwell, better known as “T-Bag.” William Fichtner is about a 50-50 shot at coming back as Alexander Mahone.

There’s still time left until everything is set in stone, so anything is possible and more names could end up coming back.

As for everyone thinking that Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will be happy to work together again, they really haven’t stopped. They’ve both been repeat stars on The Flash and will star in Legends of Tomorrow on The CW as well.

Seems as if the two really do enjoy teaming up to be the bad guys that everybody loves.

Prison Break‘s return for season 5 is one of the biggest TV stories of this year, and the anticipation is killing everyone. The “sequel,” of sorts, is expected back on the air by March of 2016, and that is when everyone will truly learn how Wentworth Miller’s character of Michael Scofield really lives.
