Epic backflip: Iran Supreme leader orders election probe

iran-protest

Under severe pressure from protests likened to the 1979 Iranian revolution, Iran’s supreme leaders have ordered a probe into last week’s election results.

The decree from above is a massive backflip in Iranian politics, after Ayatollah Khamenei had previously backed the faked win by incumbent, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The situation on the ground appears to have not changed, despite the apparent backflip. Rallies continued Monday in the capital Tehran, and in other Iranian cities. Reports suggest that reporters, both foreign and Iranian, continue to be arrested or harassed by authorities. Iranian police and army units continue to crack down on protesters. The situation remains fluid and at this stage the review into the fraudulent result appears to have not damped the will of the Iranian people for change.

There is absolutely no other way out. Mullahs want to hold on to power, still legitimize their candidate.
They will not find anything wrong.
