New Couple Alert! Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid Are Supposedly Dating, Seeing Where Their Relationship Takes Them

It looks like Zayn Malik is taking a new direction in both his music and his love life. The former One Direction member is said to be dating model Gigi Hadid. Apparently, the twosome were seen together at a party in Hollywood following the American Music Awards on Sunday night.

Us Weekly has just confirmed the news that Malik and Hadid are officially an item, at least for the time being. Their relationship is said to be a new thing and they are just dating casually right now to see if anything serious develops.

“I wouldn’t call them boyfriend and girlfriend. But seeing each other? Definitely. He’s chuffed.”

As soon as Gigi left a restaurant on Sunday, a source told Us Weekly that Zayn was waiting in a car down the street to pick her up to spend some time together. The 22-year-old singer drove off with the Victoria’s Secret model to party the rest of the night.

It seems that Gigi Hadid has a thing for pop singers. She just recently broke up with Joe Jonas. They had been dating for four months and called it quits earlier this month. Her most famous relationship was with pop star Cody Simpson. They were on-again, off-again right before she started seeing Jonas.

Of course, Zayn Malik had his high-profile relationship all over the internet and beyond when he was engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. When Malik ended their engagement in August, it seemed to be quite a heartbreaking time, especially for Edwards. Many fans were very upset over the break up. In fact, they still are and may not be happy that Zayn has moved on with another girl.

Speaking of break ups, the guys of One Direction were also at the AMAs, but without their fifth member this year. Even though Malik is not a part of their group anymore, the band still won big. Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne first won for Favorite Pop/Rock Duo/Group and they also took home the top prize of Artist of the Year award. They also ruled the stage by singing their brand new hit single, “Perfect.” It looks like the boys are doing quite well minus Zayn Malik. The former member also seems to be happy being on his own as well.

Right before the American Music Awards took place, the band walked the red carpet together and stopped by to chat with Guiliana Rancic of E! News. When they were just finishing up with the interview, Gigi Hadid walked up to join them. It seemed a little awkward, especially her encounter with Harry Styles.

Zayn Malik’s new girl greeted the Brit with a cool handshake. That was fine, but then she went up to Niall, Liam, and Louis and gave all three of them an individual hug. It might have made everyone watching them a bit uncomfortable. What does that all mean? Well, it could mean nothing but according to The Daily Mail, it could be because Harry may not agree with this new relationship between Hadid and Malik. However, it really just could have been something else entirely, or nothing at all.

How did Zayn and Gigi meet? According to Hollywood Life, it was Kendall Jenner who was the one that introduced the two in the first place. They were introduced a while ago, but just recently met up again and decided to give it a go. A source had this to say on how Jenner had her role in getting their romance started.

“Kendall introduced Gigi to Zayn when she was dating Harry. It wasn’t until Kylie’s big birthday bash that they really hit it off. Zayn didn’t know very many people at the party and spent most of his time with Kendall and Gigi. Kendall was the one who played Cupid.”

Now that Zayn Malik has a new gal in his life, there is definitely going to be a lot of chatter happening on social media. It has already started as fans of these two are trying to decide whether this is a good thing or not.
