‘Scream Queens’ Season 2 Is Going To Camp According To Star Oliver Hudson, But Did He Reveal Red Devil Killer’s Identity?

With season one of Scream Queens down to its final four episodes, Oliver Hudson recently shared some interesting revelations about the next season of the hit horror comedy. Although a lot of rumors have been surfacing in regard to the setting of Season 2, Hudson revealed the new season would be based at a summer camp.

According to Zap2It, Hudson’s comments came during his recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, during which host Andy Cohen questioned the actor on where the show was headed in Season 2.

“I have an idea. It’s scary, I’m scared to reveal anything,” Hudson told Cohen. “We don’t even know if it’s gonna be picked up, but whatever — think summer camp.”

Meanwhile, the series is currently entering its final leg of season one and although the identity of two of the killers have been revealed, we still don’t know the identity of the other Red Devil Killer. Despite dishing out details concerning the setting of season two, Hudson failed to even offer a hint that would help solve this mystery.

That being said, at least it is known Boone (Nick Jonas) is one of the killers, and has been working with Gigi all along. According to Refinery 29, the only real question remaining is who is assisting Boone in the murder spree, which just so happens to be his twin sister that he shared a bathtub birth with.

With that in mind, one leading theory is that Hester (Lea Michele) is not really dead, and is actually the other Red Devil. Although there really is not any hard evidence to prove this, she does look a lot like Jonas. Perhaps her whole neck brace thing and unique personality was just a cover to throw people off her trail.

In addition to her close resemblance to Jonas, Michele has a long history of working with Murphy and is one of favorite actresses. With Murphy’s plans to incorporate some of the characters from Season 1 into Season 2, it would make sense that Michele would be one of them.

The idea of bringing some of the characters back is something Murphy highlighted in a past interview with Zap2It. In the interview, Murphy confirmed that at least four characters would survive the Red Devil Killer’s murderous spree and be featured in the next season.

“The second season is the four remaining survivors playing the same characters going to a new Scream Queens venue,” he stated. “Then we bring in other people and the death party starts again.”

Although Murphy stated that only four characters would survive, he recently upped that number to as many as five or more. Is Hester one of these characters?

“Four or five [survivors], yeah. We keep bumping it up a little bit because we love so many of the actors and don’t want them out of our lives,” Murphy stated in the interview. “Every year we’re going to keep probably five characters and then put the characters you know in a whole new setting. So this year will be a goodbye to the sorority world and go off to another venue.”

Thanks to Hudson’s interview with Cohen, we now know that the setting for Season 2 will be at a summer camp. To add more weight to this idea, FOX has already trademarked the title, Scream Queens: Summer Camp, which is all but a confirmation that this is where the series is headed.

In the meantime, fans can continue to watch the mystery unfold as the first season of Scream Queens airs Tuesday nights on FOX, while the season finale for the hit show is set to air December 8.
