Rachel Weisz, Daniel Craig: The Reason You Don’t Hear Much About Their Marriage

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig have been happily married for four years, even though the media rarely hears about it. For the actress, this is intentional. She believes that the less the public knows, they happier she and the Spectre star will be.

If you pay attention to the tabloids, nearly every marriage that reaches the public eye in full display winds up doomed within a few years. Unlike Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig, several celebrities have gone open and ended on a sour note. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s marriage had been practically book-ended by films they worked on together. They had tied the knot around Days of Thunder, and divorced shortly after Eyes Wide Shut.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner had a similar union, having married shortly after Daredevil, and now with the approach of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, they’re allegedly finished. (Although, Garner does not appear in the Batman vs. Superman flick.)

Even the music industry has been affected by rampant divorce news. Shortly after Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton split, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale followed suit. Now, rumors have been confirmed that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are a couple, as previously reported by Inquisitr. Both couples had been together for a longer time than is usual for celebrities, but again, it didn’t last.

There could be a definite connection between having a public marriage and having it end quickly.

Rachel Weisz says her marriage to Daniel Craig is better left between them, according to Web Pro News.

“He’s just too famous. It would be a betrayal. You have to protect your marriage. When you’re young, you tell your girlfriends everything. One of the great pleasures of not being an adolescent is that you don’t have to share everything. When you’re married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you’re in your own life.”

By her admission, Rachel says that telling everybody about what goes on between you and your spouse opens it up to public speculation. Speculation leads to rumors, and before long, you start questioning how true those rumors are. The lack of rumors about Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig could easily be working in their favor.

It could also be the source of Daniel’s recent revelation that James Bond, a character he’s portrayed in four films now, is misogynistic. It is true that the infamous Agent 007 seems to sleep with nearly every attractive woman he comes to know, with the exception of Daniel Craig and Sean Connery’s earliest films in the series.

Could Hollywood notice this and make James Bond even less of a womanizer in future films?

Craig’s role as James Bond certainly doesn’t appear to be tearing him and Rachel apart. According to Hello!, Rachel Weisz revealed that she shared some similar interests with Daniel Craig in their home life, such as spending time in the kitchen.

“I love to cook. Daniel is also very good at it. We always enjoy trying out different kinds of cuisine and having fun with that. … We cook a lot. Daniel is a great cook. He doesn’t use recipes; he makes things up. He’s creative. He’s not scared. He goes for it.”

Having been together since 2011 and rarely appearing in public together, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig may be on to something.
