Kaley Cuoco Shoots Down Rumors Of Relationship With Johnny Galecki, But Doubts Still Remain

Kaley Cuoco is taking on rumors of a relationship with Johnny Galecki, letting the world know that she is just friends with her Big Bang Theory star and former boyfriend.

But given her past denials of trouble with Ryan Sweeting that turned out to be something of a smoke screen, there is still doubt among some fans as to what is going on between the pair.

Cuoco is newly single after splitting with her husband of nearly two years, Ryan Sweeting. During that time, Cuoco was subject to a steady stream of rumors that she and Galecki were carrying on a secret relationship.

This week, Cuoco has addressed those rumors, posting a series of Instagram pictures alongside Galecki in which she set the record straight.

“So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here,” Cuoco wrote with one of the pictures. “Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds – Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!” she added.

Galecki posted a picture of his own as well, adding, “No scandals / home wreckers / pregnancies here, y’all. Just profound friendship”

Galecki himself is recently single after splitting with his girlfriend of about two years, actress Kelli Garner. This led some fans and commenters to speculate as to whether the two could be dating, though some of it appears to be wishful thinking on the part of Big Bang Theory fans.

Kaley Cuoco has been open about her previous relationship with Johnny Galecki and where it went wrong. In a 2010 interview, CBS Watch! magazine with she said it was a “wonderful relationship,” but the two were under intense pressure and were never able to go out together.

Cuoco said the circumstances seemed to doom the relationship.

“We couldn’t do anything,” Cuoco added at the time. “It wasn’t as fun as we wanted it to be. Everyone was always asking, and we deny-deny-denied. … It took a little bit of a toll on me and I think it did for him, too. Not that I want to go traipsing down a red carpet with anyone, but there’s got to be a happy medium.”

But is some doubt among fans about Cuoco’s recent denial of a relationship with Johnny Galecki. In the past, she has taken to social media in an attempt to stop the rumor mill, even in cases where the reports ended up being legitimate. When rumors surfaced late last year that she and Ryan Sweeting were facing trouble in their marriage, Kaley Cuoco again took to Instagram to respond with a picture of the couple cuddling together and laughing.

Just a month before that, she had posted another picture with Sweeting amid divorce rumors, this one with the caption,”Love is a condition in which the happiness of the other person is essential to your own.”

Those rumors turned out to be true, with the couple announcing their divorce a few months later.

There are other signs that the two could be closer than they are letting on. Kaley Cuoco remained good friends with Johnny Galecki throughout her relationship with Ryan Sweeting, a closeness that sometimes spurred rumor that the two were having an affair.

Interestingly, Cuoco even defended the friendship with Galecki just days before announcing her split with Sweeting late last month.

“Johnny’s actually one of my best friends,” Cuoco said on Watch What Happens Live on September 20. “Ryan loves him, Johnny loves him. It’s been a long time, so it’s great. I got lucky. It could have been horrible.”

But given the couple’s history and the intense speculation from celebrity news sites, it’s not likely that Kaley Cuoco will be able to squash the rumors that she and Johnny Galecki are dating.
