‘Real Housewives’ Star Vicki Gunvalson Not In The OC: Will She Skip The Reunion?
Real Housewives star Vicki Gunvalson is currently dealing with plenty of drama, even though she didn’t ask for it. She has blindly supported her boyfriend of several years, Brooks Ayers, and she moved him into her home so she could take care of him. But while Gunvalson trusted every word that came out of his mouth, her co-stars were not so gullible. Meghan King Edmonds questioned all of Brooks’ decisions, including the doctors he was meeting with and his dietary decisions.
But maybe things have gotten to be too much for this Real Housewives star. All of the ladies are getting ready to film the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special, and Shannon Beador tweeted last night that they would be filming this week. But Gunvalson isn’t exactly ready to film these days, including a reunion with plenty of confrontations. Instead, she left Orange County and decided to spend some time with her family. Could she be skipping out on the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion?
According to a new Radar Online report, Real Housewives star Vicki Gunvalson jetted off to San Diego for the week to get away from all the drama happening in Orange County. Of course, Gunvalson is now single, and she doesn’t have Brooks in her life. But she clearly didn’t want to be in Orange County this week — the week the ladies film the reunion. She needed to be with her kids.
“Vicki tapes the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion on Thursday and really just needed a getaway from the drama this week, so she went down to San Diego with her beloved family,” a friend has revealed, hinting that Gunvalson has every intention of returning to film the Real Housewives reunion.
Vicki went away with her daughter Briana and her two sons. And even her son, Mike, showed up for a picture on Instagram. Clearly, she enjoyed being away from the Real Housewives drama and enjoyed some time with her children.
“Briana knew that her mom was going through a rough time so she wanted to come out and be there for her,” the source says, adding, “Her family means the world to her and Vicki is loving spending time with her grandsons because they remind her what life is all about.”
Of course, she is stressed over the cancer drama that seems to be plaguing her storyline this season. Meghan and some of the other housewives are questioning Brooks Ayers’ cancer story, and Vicki is now caught in the middle. Her co-stars are wondering how much she knew, if she was in on the lie, or if she was lied to like her co-stars — if he is indeed lying about having cancer. It seems like no one really knows the truth, and maybe this is why this Real Housewives star is so emotional.
“Vicki has been going through it these past couple of weeks with everything going on in the show, so she took some time off work to go down and relax. She is just enjoying the blessings in her life and not thinking about anything else,” the source adds.
Plus, she may have been shocked to learn that Brooks decided to film an interview with Andy Cohen this week in New York – behind her back. He had been asked to attend the reunion show, and he declined. Instead, he wanted to set the record straight by doing a one-on-one interview with Andy. And it sounds like Gunvalson is concerned that he may have thrown her under the bus.
