‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 To Bring Battle Bloodbath, Theater, And Major Flashbacks [Spoilers]

Game of Thrones insiders and sources have been flocking to the internet for the past few months, and fans have received news that Game of Thrones Season 6 will be huge on flashbacks, theater troupe scenes, and battle scenes. The Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere is still a few months away, but fans are already excited for what the new season will bring.

Game of Thrones fansite Watchers on the Wall first gave the heads up about Ned Stark’s return to Game of Thrones Season 6 — but as a younger Ned Stark. English actor Sebastian Croft is set to play Ned Stark after the complete casting call for three young boys for Game of Thrones Season 6 surfaced. According to sources, the young Ned Stark will be seen in a sparring scene with an older child in a scene.

In addition to the flashbacks regarding the Stark family for Game of Thrones season 6, Geek reports that Hodor will be having his tale narrated too in Season 6. In the book A Game of Thrones, it was revealed that Hodor wasn’t really called Hodor (he was named Walder), and he wasn’t always like that from the beginning. In the same casting call for Game of Thrones Season 6 that revealed a younger Ned Stark will appear the upcoming episodes, one particular description of a young guy caught the attention of several fans, leading them to speculate that Hodor will have his own segment.

“Large Boy (10 – 12)

Aged 10-12 but plays as younger – a clever boy who seems too large for his character’s age of 7-8 years old. An unusually big young boy – not fat – but remarkably tall and physically powerful for his age. We need characterful squat features. This is a terrific part in this new season. It’s a complicated part with great acting demands. A one-off acting opportunity for a very smart and talented boy of an unusual physical type.”

It also seems we’ll be seeing more of Arya Stark with her newfound theater troupe friends in Game of Thrones Season 6. Watchers on the Wall found another batch of casting calls for Game of Thrones just this week, and it reveals a pretty huge demand for theater troupe people. Some of the characters needed, as stated in the casting call, are a Grand Theatre Actor/Manager that specializes in portraying drunken aristocrats, a Leading Theatre Character Actor with a pronounced Northern accent, a handsome blond juvenile lead in a theatrical group, and a Smart Male Theatregoer in his 40s or 50s.

In “Mercy,” Arya goes into disguise by joining a theater troupe, and it seems we’ll be seeing more of her escapades and an update to Arya’s Murder List in Season 6 of Game of Thrones.

Another update this week that points out to major battle scenes in Game of Thrones Season 6 is a winter battle scene being shot in Northern Island, as seen by local man Troy Towlsey. Towlsey went to Twitter to report sightings of the Game of Thrones cast setting up back in Northern Island. With a whole barrage of horses and extras coming in, it only means Game of Thrones Season 6 will be another blood bath.

Game of Thrones Season 6 is set to return to our screens Spring 2016.
