Taylor Swift Releases ‘Wildest Dreams’ Music Video [Video]
Taylor Swift has released the much-anticipated music video for her song “Wildest Dreams” off her 1989 album, and fans are simply loving it.
According to Us Weekly, as announced during the 2015 MTV VMAs pre-show on Sunday, August 30, Taylor Swift debuted her “Wildest Dreams” music video and her leading man, Scott Eastwood, definitely took center stage.
While the video first appeared during the VMAs pre-show, according to the Hollywood Reporter, it’s making waves now that it has been released on the popular video streaming site, YouTube. “Wildest Dreams” is the fifth single off of her multi-platinum album 1989, and the video takes on quite a different feel than many were thinking it would.
While Taylor’s song could have easily become the next big breakup anthem, it turns out the video turns Swift’s character into the infamous “other woman.” The video takes on a very “old Hollywood” feel, recalling the glitz and glamor of the golden days of Hollywood. Taylor Swift’s character is a beautiful brunette actress playing opposite of Scott Eastwood. While the movie the two are supposedly starring in seems to have some sort of romance involved, it would seem as if their on-screen romance has managed to spill off-screen throughout the video.
On many occasions, the couple is seen stealing a few romantic moments not only on camera, but off camera as well, and there is even one scene in the music video that shows the two of them getting into some altercation, over what we don’t know. As filming for the movie seems to come to a close, it would seem as if the relationship is simply left in limbo, though it becomes clear that Taylor Swift was the other woman once the movie premiere comes around.
While Taylor’s character is seen arriving at the premiere alone, Scott Eastwood’s character is not only attending with a female companion, but he is also seen wearing a wedding band, which clearly upsets Taylor. She must not have known that he was married because as they watch the movie and their on-screen romance is put on display for all to see, she is seen running out of the theater and catching a cab. As she drives away, Scott Eastwood is seen running out after her, just moments too late.
