Miley Cyrus Says Donald Trump Loves Her Twerking, Baddie Winkle Will Appear At MTV VMAs
Miley Cyrus is hosting the MTV Video Music Awards tonight, and millions of young people are going to tune in to see if she does something totally crazy. However, her fans don’t just include millennials and Gen Zers. According to Miley, Donald Trump is a big admirer of her booty bump. However, she might be more excited that she’s attracted the attention of octogenarian internet star Baddie Winkle.
During her recent interview with the New York Times, Miley Cyrus revealed that Kanye West and Donald Trump were both big fans of her twerk-tastic performance at the 2013 MTV VMAs. Miley wore a flesh-colored bikini and grinded up against Robin Thicke’s Beetlejuice suit, and her antics caused quite the controversy. Trump is obviously a believer in the “any publicity is good publicity” adage, so, of course, he enjoyed watching manic Miley strutting around on stage with her tongue hanging out.
“I was in the studio with Kanye [later] that night, and we watched it back and we didn’t say anything,” Miley told the Times. “He was like, ‘That was sick,’ whatever. We woke up the next day, and he was like, ‘Whoa.’ He called and said, ‘Turn on your TV.’ I was staying at the Trump Hotel and Donald Trump literally called and said, basically, ‘I know everyone’s talking about it, but I loved it.’ I had no idea anyone was talking about it yet.”
You hear that, Megyn Kelly? If you want to earn Donald Trump’s approval, all you have to do is twerk really hard. Maybe Miley will return the Donald’s love by incorporating one of those Trump piñatas into tonight’s VMAs show (Megyn might enjoy watching the pop star beat the crap out of one of them).
If you still think Miley Cyrus’ 2013 MTV VMAs performance was too much, be forewarned: tonight’s antics might make what she did with that giant foam finger seem like child’s play.
“When you look at it now, it looks like I’m playing hopscotch. Compared to what I do now, it looks like nothing. I can’t believe that was a big deal. It wasn’t shocking at all.”
Miley described her VMAs as “psychedelic and raw.” However, Billboard reports that the show will be filmed on a tape delay, so don’t expect to see anything that’s too hot for TV. Hollywood Life is claiming that Cyrus will end the night by performing with 30 drag queens, and it seems as though social media star Baddie Winkle is also going to make an appearance at some point.
