Donald Trump Can Take Your Donations, But Not If You Have An Agenda

Donald Trump is certainly one of the most eccentric presidential candidates right now, mainly because of his hugely controversial statements. Back in 2004, Donald Trump claimed that all the female participants on the Apprentice show had at one time or another flirted with him. The following is the quote according to Newstalk.

“All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”

However, Donald Trump’s most controversial comment this year was on Mexican immigrants stating that Mexico does not send its best citizens to the United States. The following was the statement, according to the Daily Beast.

“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems… When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

This put him at loggerheads with the general Mexican population as well as a number of companies that were against his view, some of which severed ties with him and they include NBC Universal, Televisa, Farouk Systems, and Macy’s just to name a few.

Not one to take things lying down, Donald Trump recently bashed Megyn Kelly, a Fox News reporter after she subjected him to a barrage of hard-hitting questions during the recent presidential debate hosted by the channel, telling CNN that during the event she had “blood coming out her eyes” and “blood coming out of her… wherever.” This is according to the Daily Edge.

The statement didn’t go down well with women across the nation, who expressed their displeasure with his comment by posting live updates of their periods on social media. On Twitter, they used the hash tag #periodsarenotaninsult and included Donald Trump’s handle in the posts.

On to more serious issues, Donald Trump recently pointed out that hedge fund workers should be forced to pay more taxes, saying that they are literally “getting away with murder.” This was during an interview session with Time Magazine. This is as reported by CBS News.

Donald Trump reiterated this view on CBS, pointing out the following.

“They’re paying nothing and it’s ridiculous. I want to save the middle class… The hedge fund guys didn’t build this country. These are guys that shift paper around and they get lucky.”

On receiving donations, Donald Trump said that he wants monetary support from his supporters just with no strings attached. The following was his statement as reported by CNN.

“Look, I know the people that want something. I’ve been doing this all my life. I’ve been a very big contributor to many, many people on all sides for many, many years. I don’t want lobbyists. I don’t want special interests.”

That said, Donald Trump recently received a touching donation of $7.23 from a lady who offered in her letter that it was all she had.
