Justin Bieber’s November Album & New Single Builds Buzz With Charlie Puth, Countdown Stars

Fifth Harmony and Madison Beer are the latest stars to co-sign Justin Bieber’s celebrity-packed daily countdown to the release of his upcoming single “What Do You Mean,” which drops on August 28.

With 15 days left to go until the world gets a gander at the highly anticipated new song, the Biebs took to Twitter and Instagram on Wednesday to retweet and post photos of Madison Beer holding up the now familiar sign. Shortly after, Fifth Harmony made their debut on the heartthrob’s social media accounts.

“Can’t wait for #WhatDoYouMean in 16 DAYS!!! @justinbieber,” Madison wrote.

Over at the Canadian’s Instagram account, he thanked the 16-year-old songstress, writing, “I see you @madisonbeer. Thanks. #16days until #whatdoyoumean.”

Justin discovered Madison in early 2012 after coming across covers of popular songs she posted to YouTube. After he tweeted a link to then 13-year-old’s cover of Etta James’ “At Last” to his millions of Twitter devotees, Madison received media attention, subsequently signing a deal with Island Records, with Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun’s help.

Fifth Harmony’s Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui put their aptly harmonized spin on the lyric “What Do You Mean” in a video.

On July 29 Justin swung by On Air With Seacrest to announce his new single and kick off the countdown. To date, the roll call of celebs who have taken part includes Ruby Rose, James Corden, Mariah Carey, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, Madison Beer, and Fifth Harmony.

The Biebs previously described his upcoming single as “summery” and “poppy but cool.” It was recently endorsed by Charlie Puth who tweeted that the song is a wow-worthy hit. As a co-writer on “See You Again,” one of the biggest hits of the year, Puth should know.

Meanwhile, as announced Tuesday, Justin’s new album has a release date. Hot on the heels of a Hits Daily Double report, Billboard reported multiple sources confirmed Justin and his team are targeting November 13 to rollout his next studio album.

In a cover story with Interview magazine last month, the Biebs said his new album is “very personal,” also adding, “People will be able to really get into where my heart is.”

Following initial reports of the rapper Kanye West and legendary music maven Rick Rubin producing Justin’s fourth studio album, Jack U’s Skrillex and Diplo came onboard amid the success of their (now) platinum U.S. certified “Where Are U Now” collaboration with Justin.

However, in recent interviews with Bieber and Skrillex, it has become clear that the latter has now taken on a primary production role on the album. Previously, the singer spoke to Seacrest about the artistry the six-times Grammy winner brings to the table.

“The sounds are super expensive,” Justin thrilled. “Skrillex is a genius. He’s super futuristic and I just love his sound. So to be able to incorporate that sound with what I’m doing has been super cool because it’s new and fresh. I feel like no one has done it before.”

Not surprisingly, all of the above means there is a lot of curiosity and buzz building about the long-awaited, November-dropping record.

Biebzus rising, indeed.
