Amy Schumer And Jennifer Lawrence Bond Over A Not-So-Private Getaway

As many have already heard, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are on vacation together and having the times of their lives, but, instead of wondering how this incredible union happened, many are asking why hasn’t this happened sooner. After all, there would seem to be few more perfect matches than Lawrence and Schumer.

Jennifer and Amy both share similar brands of humor, pulling gags that make most of us laugh and find both Amy and Jennifer more endearing for their wild antics. Of course there are those so uptight that even Amy Schumer feigning a fall right at their feet couldn’t even earn so much as a smile.

Come to think of it, Jennifer has done her own brand of fall gags as well. There’s something more Lawrence and Schumer share in common. Both Jennifer and Amy are only too aware that they don’t conform to the typical Hollywood image and neither Lawrence, nor Schumer, is in any hurry to make drastic changes to make those Hollywood decision makers happy. Ms. Lawrence once acknowledged that she’s obese, according to Hollywood’s standards.

“It should be illegal to call someone fat on TV,” Jennifer said in a Barbara Walters interview.

Ms. Schumer echoed those same sentiments often in interviews and in her own stand-up routines.

“I’m probably like 160 pounds right now, and I can catch a d**k whenever I want.”

Both Amy and Jennifer are more family-oriented than fans may even realize. While Schumer has pulled her sister Kim into the Hollywood business, first as a writer for Inside Amy Schumer and, more recently, as an associate producer on Trainwreck, Jennifer Lawrence is often joined by a brother or two while filming on location.

Family for both includes their four-legged babies as well, and neither Lawrence, nor Schumer, is ever far from their pets. Amy posted a picture of herself and her pooch sharing quality time, proving that Schumer has time for both the pup and for Jennifer on her vacation.

Meanwhile, Ms. Lawrence is rarely seen traveling to film sets without her own pooch, Pippi. Most recently, Jennifer was seen walking Pippi, while taking time off from shooting scenes for Joy in Boston.

So, it seems Amy and Jennifer have much on which to build an epic friendship and may even rival the friendship of Lucy Carmichael (Lucille Ball) and Vivian Bagley (Vivian Vance) of The Lucy Show.
