Kylie Jenner Headed For Amanda Bynes Breakdown, Claims Report

Kylie Jenner is reportedly celebrating her 18th birthday in Quebec, where she will drink alcohol to toast the occasion. Now there are concerns on whether or not the reality star is headed down the same path as Amanda Bynes.

The youngest Jenner teen is heading down to Beachclub in Pointe-Calumet on Aug. 16, just days after she turns 18. According to the outdoor nightclub’s website, the Instagram model will have “the opportunity to party, and drink legally.”

Kylie’s not just there to celebrate her 18th birthday. She’s also there to make some money. According to a TMZ report, Kylie will earn between $100,000 and $200,000 just for making an appearance at the event. The tickets for the event range from $40 to $150.

Now that news of Jenner’s 18th birthday celebration has come to light, a report in the New York Post believes that the teen is “destined for a breakdown,” similar to troubled starlet Amanda Bynes. According to the report, Jenner’s been making headlines at a record-setting pace, that’s putting her ahead of Britney Spears, Bynes, and other starlets who have experienced breakdowns in the past.

According to psychologist and parenting expert, Seth Meyers, Amanda chose to become a celebrity. As for Kylie, she was born into the spotlight thanks to the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

“Kylie’s explosion onto the pop-culture landscape is more similar to someone like Paris Hilton, a woman who was born into a family that was in the public eye, but who didn’t achieve fame because of her own professional accomplishments.”

He fears that Jenner could be headed toward a breakdown that’s worse than Bynes’ previous two breakdowns.

“Celebrities who become famous without having achieved success in a career sometimes feel like frauds later, questioning what their purpose in life is.”

Amanda and Kylie aren’t being compared for dying their hair turquoise. While the former Nickelodeon star is reportedly suffering schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is just making a cry for help, according to holistic health expert Gabrielle Pellici, Ph.D.

“If [Kylie’s] displaying aggressive or oversexualized behavior, drawing lots of attention to [herself] is a cry for help and a cry for respect, support and love. Kids from famous families are more likely to struggle with mental health, emotional stability and addiction.”

Other reports seem to agree. An insider told the Hollywood Life that Kylie’s doing whatever it takes to get attention from Kris and Caitlyn Jenner. She’s been making headlines for wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, wearing a shirt that says “Eat Me Out,” and for dancing suggestively on Snapchat. The inside source told the celebrity gossip site that Kylie’s headline making behavior is a “cry for help” from her parents.

“This is the way Kylie gets attention from her parents — by flashing a diamond ring on her wedding finger for the entire world to see. She knows neither of her parents would approve of her getting engaged right now, so why not stir the pot? This is her way of getting their attention. It’s like she has to do something drastic to get their attention. It’s really a cry for help.”

However, there is no reason to speculate over whether or not Jenner has a mental illness. Daniel Bober, founder of Psychiatrics Consultants of Florida, said that although there’s no need to diagnosis the teen, it’s clear that she’s headed down a dangerous path due to all the excess in her life.

“There’s no evidence at this point that Kylie has a serious mental illness, but she’s a 17-year-old with a lot of money, making very impulsive decisions and seeking instant gratification at every turn.”

The assistant clinical professor at Yale predicts that Jenner could face rehab in the near future if she’s not careful.

“The impulsivity, the recklessness, all you have to do is add some drugs and alcohol and I think you have a potential disaster on the horizon.”
