Caitlyn Jenner: Hurt Her Fam Doesn’t Show Support Of ‘I Am Cait,’ Learn ‘The Business Of Cait’

The premiere episode of I Am Cait left viewers nationwide in tears. The moving opening to the series allowed a massive audience insight into the struggles and courageousness of the 65-year old Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce). However, although the support and cheers for the Olympic champion were strong and resounding from individuals that the reality star has never even met, Jenner confided that she was disappointed and felt hurt that her own children, who take to social media on a whim and for much less significant reasons, did not make mention of the powerful first debut.

An insider spoke with RadarOnline and shared Caitlyn’s reaction to her children’s seeming lack of enthusiasm after the show aired. Bang reports the source’s words.

“Caitlyn was really hurt last night. She was really bothered by the fact that her family didn’t show their support online on their Twitter or Instagram accounts like they do for Keeping up with the Kardashians, or for their own projects. Caitlyn felt unfairly treated because so many of her kids or family members wouldn’t even take the time to post a simple message on their social media accounts this weekend.”

Although the Kardashian-Jenner clan is generally much more active on social media for a multitude of reasons, the only child of Caitlyn who actually did make mention of the show’s debut was Caitlyn’s 17-year-old daughter, Kylie. The youngest child of the I Am Cait star took to Twitter with a quick question for her millions of followers.

In regards to Caitlyn’s additional 5 children, not one other reflected or offered post premiere public support. It is clear, however, that the children and stepchildren of Jenner have done their best to show their encouragement of the star, yet perhaps the show’s debut left all a touch speechless and they were more concerned with letting Caitlyn speak for herself.

However, as for the success of show and the business of Caitlyn Jenner, many are speculating, based on the fantastic response to the first episode of the show and due to Jenner’s increase in popularity, that she will continue to skyrocket and find great success. Fortune Magazine reports the words of Megan Hartman, strategy director at Red Peak Youth branding agency in New York.

“I think brands would be very smart to align themselves with her because she is such a brave spokesperson. I think we are going to see a lot of brands across all categories – beauty fashion, sports, entertainment – looking to get a piece of her.”
