Britney Spears’ Fiancé Jason Trawick Made Co-Conservator [How Far We Haven’t Come]

Britney Spears’ fiancé Jason Trawick hasn’t tied the knot with the pop star yet, but he now has a say-so in her day-to-day life as per the court.

As we reported earlier this month, the Hit Me Baby One More Time singer is already 30, but the “conservatorship” from when she had her breakdown in 2008 (read: she shaved her head) is still in place.

Britney Spears’ fiancé Trawick, who was once her agent, is only really going to be stepping in in a non-financial role in the singer’s life- which means decisions (not even joking) about food, medical care and well-being. Spears’ fortune will still be controlled by her dad Jamie Spears.

And while Jamie is said by a lawyer for Spears to be “thrilled” about developments in the case, is anyone else not somewhat alarmed that Spears fiancé was given a degree of dominion over her day-to-day decisions like eating and going to the doctor in court? Is she still so unstable after shaving her head that she needs two daddies to make sure she doesn’t go making herself unattractive to fans again someday down the road?

Or more to the point, could anyone see such a situation persisting with a male star? E! explains the former agent’s new role in Britney’s life:

“Trawick’s role, pending a review hearing scheduled for July 25, will be limited to Britney’s personal, day-to-day life, while Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallett hang onto the reins controlling the 30-year-old “Circus” singer’s estate.

“This will be a process that has to play out and for the judge to consider,” a source close to the situation told E! News.”

Perhaps Britney is far less stable than we are privy to knowing, but does anyone else feel like this level of legal intervention in the life of a 30-year-old woman is another example of how far we haven’t come?
