Lil Wayne Death Attempt From Birdman, Young Thug Revealed
Lil Wayne and Birdman used to be so close that the duo can be seen in photos kissing on the lips, as reported by EurWeb. Birdman was even considered the “father” to his “son,” Lil Wayne, with Baby stepping in as a daddy figure to Tunechi from way back in the day. That’s why news of Birdman engaging in a plot with Young Thug to actually kill Lil Wayne, as reported by TMZ, is so shocking to fans of the trio.

The plot to kill Lil Wayne happened during a recent evening, when the tour bus of Lil Wayne was in the midst of a barrage of bullets in Atlanta. Jimmy Carlton Winfrey is the man who was indicted for shooting at Wayne’s bus. The event occurred in April and, after Jimmy shot at the bus, he called Birdman’s phone, as if to report on the shooting, indicating it was a hit against Lil Wayne ordered by Birdman.

The Daily Beast called the split between Lil Wayne and Birdman an “ugly divorce” between a couple of men who’ve been together since Wayne was a young boy of only 9. However, money and fame and millions of dollars have come in between the kingpins — including musical cohorts Drake and Nicki Minaj.
The ugly breakup between Lil Wayne and Birdman has been well documented, but fans can hardly believe it got so bad that the death of Wayne was being plotted. As reported by the Inquisitr, Lil Wayne continued to make music like “Selsun Blue,” all the while in a dispute over his delayed album release with Birdman. The love lost and violence surrounding the whole Cash Money Records crew has been legendary over the years in the press — but this thwarted attempt at a hit on Wayne’s life has his fans overjoyed that the death plot didn’t come to fruition.
Winfrey, who is the tour manager for Young Thug, can be seen with an assault rifle the “Halftime” music video by Thug, which include lyrics threatening to shoot Lil Wayne in the head. As seen on Rap Genius’ translation of some lyrics, Young Thug might consider Lil Wayne his idol or his enemy.
“If any man attempts to rob or injure Thug he will send one of his whodies—a Southern slang term for gang affiliate—to shoot at that man’s head.”
