Jennifer Aniston On Makeup Bans And Property Battles

Jennifer Aniston, who always seems to maintain radiance and a healthy glow without the Cake actress having to “cake” on a load of cosmetic product, admits that she is surprised by how fast young girls seem to grow up these days. The 46-year-old beauty recently shared her thoughts on what she perceives in the beautifying behavior of young girls, during an interview with People Magazine.

“I see kids now at 12 years old in full make-up, and I want to, like, shake them and go, ‘You really don’t understand how fast it’s about to end. Don’t try to grow up!’ Now I officially sound like an old person.”

As a youngster herself, Aniston admits to having strict parents when it came to makeup application and cosmetics of all kinds. Jen’s parents were opposed to her using any makeup at a young age, and even had solid rules about fragrances that the now-notable actress could apply. The Belfast Telegraph recounts Aniston’s words during her candid interview.

“My parents were very strict that way. They didn’t want me to grow up too fast. I wasn’t allowed to wear make-up until I was 15. Miss Dior [was the first perfume I owned]. It doesn’t smell [the same] anymore, because it was literally for kids. That was the only reason my mom would let me wear it, even though I would always sneak her perfumes.”

Interestingly enough, Aniston is now the developer of her own brand of perfume, and has got all the support she needs from fans and fragrance enthusiasts. The actress’ latest perfume, Near Dusk, is now available, and is inspired by those scents a young Jen would subtly borrow from her mom and, as an adult, share with her close group of friends — events which led to Aniston developing an interest in creating her own fragrances.

“When my girlfriends began to get married, I’d bring bottles of oils to bachelorette parties. Everyone would pass around this beautiful glass antique perfume jar, and then we’d all put in drops of oil and set an intention for the bride.”

All of Aniston’s success within her career as an actress, in addition to such endeavors as her fragrance line, have allowed her to build a sizable net worth of a reported $150 million. A portion of this worth is tied up in a gorgeous $21 million Bel Air estate, which she and her soon-to-be husband, Justin Theroux, share. Lately, the Friends star has been on the warpath to attempt to stop construction of mansions around her neighborhood that will be a whopping 90,000 square feet in size.

Realty Today shares about Jen’s attempts at halting construction of the massive mansions that will be disruptive to the neighborhood, stating that Jen “led the L.A. protest against building of giga-mansions that according to the star disrupts their lives.” ABC recently relayed a quote from the star in regards to the building project that she is in opposition to.

“The very idea that a building of 90,000 square feet can be called a home seems at the least a significant distortion of building code.”

Aniston continues in the fight for her neighbors’ rights.
