Young Ready Dead: Rapper Perishes In Shooting That Killed 2


Young Ready, a Baton Rouge rapper, was killed in the state capital of Louisiana on Tuesday in a shooting.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, and resulted in the death of both Young Ready, whose real name was Shannen Hudson, and another victim. The name of the second individual has yet to be confirmed.

The shooting occurred in Bogalusa at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while WSMV have reported that police officials have only confirmed that it took place on the north side of Baton Rouge and within city limits.

The Washington Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed that one of the dead perished from a single gunshot wound, while the second perished after he was hit by numerous bullets. Police officials in the area have confirmed that an investigation into these deaths is now underway, but they’re yet to identify a suspect.

Social network promoter Kaleel Cain, who worked alongside Young Ready, released a statement praising the musician. “Ready’s music was the voice of the streets of Louisiana and other areas,” Cain remarked. “He will be truly missed.” Meanwhile, Twitter soon lit up with tributes to Young Ready as the news spread.

Young Ready worked with a number of prominent artists in the Louisiana area, while he also created, owned, and operated Bow Entertainment — his own record label. This saw him work alongside the likes of Young Crucial Juice, Lil Bam, and Lit J.

According to Hip-Hop Vibe, Young Ready was very well known by industry insiders, and his mix-tapes had been met with acclaim. Over the last few years, Young Ready has built up his sturdy reputation because of his repeated releases.
